3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe recently moved to GA. We were really nervous about putting our children in Clarke County schools due to the great school and niche ratings. Our youngest two are assigned to Winterville! I couldn’t ask for a better experience so far. I completed their registration in person. This was a wonderful decision. Ms. Fonseca was so friendly and helpful during our registration appointment. Ms. Moment and all of the front desk staff have been amazing at Winterville. They have went above and beyond to make this a good transition for us. When our kiddos got home today they said that they LOVED their teachers and had a great day! This school truly feels like a family so far. In my opinion Winterville Elementary school should definitely have a higher rating on great school and Niche than it does! We’ve had a 5/5 experience so far!!Parent Review9mo ago8 Reviews - Gaines Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe hit the jackpot with Whit. We know another family who could be attending Chase Street Elementary, the one with highest test scores, but prefer to keep their kids at Whit. Strong staff have weathered the principal turnover, keeping standards high.Parent Review6y ago6 Reviews - Athens Montessori School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe had experiences in both the primary and lower elementary levels. The main focus of this school is definitely on child development and not academics, which I why I would say it is only beneficial through the primary level. When you start getting into the upper grades the academics is just not up to par with other schools. When my children entered another school, they were behind academically and it was a shock because we trusted AMS academically as well as with our child’s non academic development. I would say responsibility lies with the administration as the teachers are amazing but times have changed and they are still teaching the same way as they have for the last 20-30 years. Past the primary levels children actually need to learn more than life skills at school. I’m grateful for the teachers my children had and know they have the potential for change.Parent Review7mo ago13 Reviews
