"Nice Dog park close by. There are lots of nice trails for walking dogs nearby. Also dog beach within 10 minutes. "

"It is a quiet neighborhood as in people don't argue loudly or have loud parties. You can frequently hear the train and emergency vehicles. People on my street are friendly and keep their lawns neat and tidy. People walk their dogs in the morning and evening, but since there are no sidewalks they have to walk them in the street. It is 1 mile from shopping, dentist, doctors and gyms. Schools are less than 10 minutes. It is 3 miles from the beach and nightlife. A lot of people ride bikes and adult trikes around the area, so a car isn't strictly necessary if you like to walk or bike."

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is beyond horrible. I moved here a couple of years ago from Pennsylvania. Let me tell you, the school system in this state is a joke. They lump language arts and social studies together so you never know which one your child will actually learn. I didn't see the first piece of homework until January. I could tell language arts was a problem for my daughter to begin with. I've contacted the school and teachers multiple times about it to no avail. She finally got homework a few weeks ago and has absolutely no idea how to do it. The first couple of times I gave her a lot of help. Then I decided the teacher needed to see for herself how badly my daughter was struggling. She ignored it. So I had my daughter point it out to her. She told my daughter that she just needed to read it more than once (which I already have her do) and that she did good on tests. I'm sorry, I don't see how that is relevant to the fact that her reading comprehension is not where it should be. There tests are a joke. This whole school is a joke. I won't let my child fall through the cracks. If you know what's good for your son or daughter you will find a different school.Parent Review5y ago - Read-Pattillo Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTerrible. No one there cares about your child, and when your child is mis treated, you end up being the "crazy parent" and your child gets treated badly.Parent Review2y ago - Glencoe Classical Academy
