Combee Settlement

Not a good school for special needs, refusal of IEP and difficulty following 504. There is favoritism with staff's children. There have been a few staff that have been amazing but overall we are not please with administration.We were so excited for our children to attend CODE in the beginning but we had issues so many times over the years. All of my children are so much happier not attending.

Everyone who has given this school four stars or more either work for the school or are apart of the family that run the school. I went here for 3 years and they play favorites and told me that a caused drama and was a liar. I never got in trouble at public school. They are very judgmental about people that are new, or don't come from a pentecostal background. Many of the new students left before the first semester was over last year. felt with a guy cussing me out to his friend at the school and Pastor Steve just told him to stop doing it. Punishment is based on wether or not they like the kid and their family. I'm not a bad kid but they made me feel that way. If your not in fine Arts at the school you don't get to have certain privileges. Major emphasis put on Fine arts and not other electives so if students are not talented in that area then you have to take whatever other elective they offer. The teachers love the staff kids and a certain few others. Sports are not great here. No real athletic coaches and are always related to someone who works at the school or has a student at the school. When I was in the daycare elective they made us bleach kids toys for several weeks until they took that elective away. My parents had a meeting about this till they took it away. Then in the agriculture they made us do free yard work for the school and spent minimal time in the garden which is supposed to be agriculture main thing. They think people with mental illnesses like anxiety are demon posed and don't trust God. Which is not true and mental illness is not a sin its like having cancer and doing chemo. Even though it will be my senior year this year I have chosen not to pay to be miserable, and to have a real high school experience at a public school!

I will be making other arrangements for my children first thing Monday. She has sent my child home two weeks in a row with poopy pants on Friday evening after telling him he cannot use the restroom. I complained to the Child Care Division of the Polk County School Board and she did it again this week.
