I am extremely disappointed as I had high hopes for my granddaughter to start kindergarten here. What should have been an exciting start of school for a kindergartener has turned into a nightmare for my granddaughter and my daughter as her mother. My 5 yr old granddaughter has been traumatized and full of anxiety since the start of the school year and it is only September. She does not want to go to school and I feel horrible every minute she is there. Her teacher acts like she is in military school, the nurse's behavior is atrocious and my 5 yr old granddaughter is terrified to ever have to go to the nurse again. The lack of compassion, patience and kindness from these educators is very apparent. These people have no business in an elementary school and definitely no business around 5 yr old children starting their very first year of school. As someone who has been an educator and part of the public school systems for over 35 yrs also having raised children of my own, I am disgusted and appalled at the way these educators have been allowed to get away with such behavior. Either there is ignorance or lack of research in teaching methods or how to treat a sick 5 yrs old child. Don't be afraid to be your child's advocate 1st and foremost and don't allow yourself or your child be bullied. Stand up for what is right. I am taking this to the superintendent's office. This is not acceptable.

The previous principal was very involved, warm, amazing and created a positive and thriving environment that motivated and supported children and teachers and families in such a positive manner and welcomed diversity in so many ways. Students were really encouraged to "be the 3", helping them to take pride in themselves, and encouraged them to act morally with all others- which alleviated bullying, discrimination and reckless behaviors. Now it seems kids feel a little liberated to act out without repercussions or feeling bad about it- lacking moral compass at school. Gifted program was great before- a lot of engaging truly gifted projects and truly gifted learning, some teachers retired, and now kids are pressured on test scores- so more focus on academics testing. Truly gifted students need all different types of support. Kids should have a fun learning environment in elementary with innovative approaches to teaching. This is still a very good school, but a lot of parents I know applied for other school options this upcoming year. Hopefully the new principal can settle in and continue to extend warmth and care and an increased positive involvement for all- teachers, students, families- to continue this school's legacy!

This school was terrible my son barely learned on his final year there. The only real teacher was there spanish teacher and yet its impossible to fail. My son missed many homework's and still got all A's. We didn't even have a school leader for majority of the year. Also the main teachers all quit my son had more subs than school workers. Plus my son was on his ipad for the year. DO NOT RECCOMEND.

A Great school with professional and caring staff. I would highly recommended. :)
