"There is public commute but parking in downtown Hollywood is horrible. The pricing to park on the beach is up there and you don’t have as much parking as you should for the amount of people that visit the beach here."

"I have not lived here long enough to know just yet. But block parties or holiday events would be nice in the future."

"A lot of traffic due to the surge in people moving into the area in droves. Probably has tripled in the past 4 years. "

"Dog owners would like the big backyard that are usually fenced in and nice for dogs. I haven’t seen very many dog parks, but we do love the sides of the lots in the yards"

"Friendly neighbors, great school, lots of green space and people out and about exercising. Most if not all homeowners take care of the landscaping in their homes. "

"Beautiful, safe, quite and close to everything. Many Hollywood police officers reside here and watch over the grateful neighbors. We are a community of working professionals who take pride in this wonderful part of Hollywood."

"Nativity Church, local restaurants and markets. The community works together without an association. The area is safe and it is central to Miami and Ft. Lauderdale."

"I am really happy to live in this neighbourhood. It’s really quiet and the street is really beautiful and well maintained. My neighbours are nice and very respectful. The neighbourhood is diverse and I love it. There is a good choice of public transport so that people don’t use cars or motorcycles. We are lucky to be close to the beaches as well. I love it here."

"This area is very family oriented. safe to go for a walk. You walk one block, your in Hollywood Blvd. where you have all the fast food restaurants and many dit in places to have dinner. CVS and WALGREENS are on Hollywood Blvd, less than 1 block away, plenty of gas stations & entertainment. come, take a look, you wont be disappointed. "

"I've lived in this neighborhood for 4 years. Everyone is friendly & looks out for each other. Its very pedestrian friendly, you can get around walking and/or biking, to gym, parks, schools, and/or stores. Several well kept nearby dog parks 5 to 10 minutes away by car."

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere are serious concerns regarding the school climate, staff conduct, and the handling of student and parent complaints at Hollywood Hills Elementary School. These issues have had a direct and harmful impact on my child’s emotional wellbeing and sense of safety at school. My child has experienced bullying and emotional distress that were either minimized or not appropriately addressed. In addition, my child reported overhearing deeply troubling comments made by school staff, including statements such as “I feel like I am teaching dogs” and references to 1st grade students “acting like animals.” Language of this nature is demeaning, unacceptable, and entirely inconsistent with the values and responsibilities of educators entrusted with the care of children. I am also concerned by what appears to be a pattern of dismissing or burying complaints in order to preserve the school’s public image and rating and funding, rather than transparently addressing legitimate concerns raised by families. A school’s rating should never come at the expense of children’s emotional safety, dignity, or mental health. As a result of this environment, my child has developed increased anxiety, impulsivity, and mistrust toward school staff—changes that were not present prior to these experiences. This is deeply concerning. Schools should be places where children feel supported, respected, and valued, not fearful or diminished.Parents place immense trust in public schools to care for their children, anything could happen in 6 hrs. That trust is broken when concerns are ignored and when staff demonstrate a lack of compassion and professionalism. It is not surprising that many families are choosing to withdraw their children as 6 schools are closing in Broward County and seek alternative education options when their voices go unheard.Parent Review5mo ago18 Reviews - Orange Brook Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am very disappointed in this school. I thought they could do better, but they’re not the parents are not heard at all as a parent. I do not feel heard from the school or the staff every time I expressed to them how I feel they disregard it and brushed it off and think that they know my child more than me. I’m highly disappointed in the fact that I wasn’t involved in my son‘s kindergarten graduation ceremony even if there were no parents allowed you could’ve still done virtual or something not even a certificate handed to me or pictures that is very hurtful as a parent themselves they should be ashamed of themselves of how they treat us parents at the school. They have no remorse for the parents at the school. They treat us like we don’t matter and like we’re not the parents I don’t feel hurt at all from the school. They need to do better and listening to the parents and making us feel heard.Parent Review1mo ago11 Reviews - Sheridan Hills Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son had the pleasure of being a student at Sheridan Hill from first grade til he graduated 5th grade! The teachers were awesome! Mrs.Campbell (the principal) is amazing! She really loves her students. Mrs.Campbell and her assistant work really well together. I’ve witnessed them care for my son and many other students as if they were their own children. In a way, the students are theirs. Mr.Robert taught my son for two years and if I had it my way, he would move up to middle school and teach him again. The patience. The love…..the father figure & tough love. Mrs.Juste…..have you ever watched “The Magic School Bus”? She is so full of energy! She has a creative way of teaching! My son really loved her teaching, her fun energy, and the way she relates her teaching to real life. The office staff——amazing!!! They are always so lovely. Mrs.Dawn….or as we like to call her, “Pokey”! That name “Pokey” is an inside joke between my son and Mrs.Dawn.Well…… Now my daughter is in the VPK program with Mrs.Ramirez and Mrs.Smith and is showing amazing skills at just 4 years old. I get updates every week about her progress via class dojo. I honestly can’t wait to watch her grow and become as amazing as she can be with the love and support of the S.H.E. Family! Both of my children got really awesome teachers at a really awesome school! I hope this review helps any parent or guardian that has any doubt about being apart of the S.H.E family!Parent Review4y ago5 Reviews - Nativity Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated about a month ago. I came here in sixth grade and I have to say this has to be one of the best schools in this country maybe even in the world! I felt welcome as soon as I entered in sixth and the teachers have so much care for everyone and it all starts from our amazing principal Mrs.Ortiz. She is trying to make improvments towards our school each and every single day and every year gets better. I wish I was there to see the new rectory and use it. I hope to send my kids here in the future if Nativity is still around and if I am still living in South Florida. If you are still reading this and are looking to send your children here PLEASE DO SO. No other school around Nativity is as great. The thing that Nativity helped me the most on was getting closer to God.Other Review7y ago11 Reviews - Jewish Academy
