My daughter suffered a serious facial injury at Hollywood Central Elementary, FL on February 24th 2026 on the circumstances that raise significant concern about supervision and the school's legal duty of care a student not in my daughter's class was able to access her without oversight and caused an injury severe enough to fracture her eye orbit floor.Despite a visible head and eye injury no one contacted me the nurse documented that a parent was not notified which is I direct failure to follow basic safety and emergency response standards to make matters worse I received an automatic message stating my daughter was absent that day even though she was injured on campus- in alarming in the indication of poor supervision in inaccurate student tracking.My daughter followed school rules by not using her cell phone to contact me, yet she was not offered the school phone while in pain and afraid she was then forced to ride the bus home for nearly an hour with a fractured face before I learned what happened. This incident caused us to go to the emergency room after a CT scan she was diagnosed with a fractured orbit floor and injury would potentially long-term consequences trauma and permanent scarring she is now seeing specialists instead of preparing for her birthday. This incident reflects a serious breakdown in supervision safety protocol and parental notification- issues that carry real legal implications parents deserve to know when a school fails to protect a child respond appropriately to an injured or uphold its responsibility to maintain a safe environment this should NEVER happen not only to my child but to ANY student that attend this school. I am highly disappointed, the school system has failed us. this situation is a real eye-opener on negligence where our children spend majority of their lives to learn but in this case my daughter was too afraid to speak up. Parents show up for your children and advocate for your child they have a voice too

Aventura waterways is definitely not a school I would recommend to anyone. 7th grade math year completely ruined my 8th grade class level, I could have been in algebra honors if it wasn’t for the schools terrible math system. Aventura waterways didn’t have a single teacher that kept its position as a 7th grade math teacher, we constantly had substitutes that didn’t teach us anything and most lessons every student was on their devices and the substitute was only there to “keep watch”. There was constant use of vapes in the school bathroom, sexual harassment, bullying, discrimination, and the only way the assistant principal would discipline the student was giving them a mild lunch detention that the students didn’t even attend. I think the worst problem in the school is bullying because the teachers don’t even tell the children to stop. I had a really rough experience at this school with bullying, being called ugly, laughing at the way I spoke etc. Overall do not recommend this school to anyone, to be honest the students are very smart but there are others really struggling with the academic situation and I’m sure they have the same problems as me.

As a former student mom of this school I wouldn’t recommend it specially because they don’t try to make any activities to make the children feel motivated and involved with the school. They are always asking for money and donations as is all they truly care. And even though there are good teachers I don’t feel the principal values them and she’s always working against the teachers and students trying to make everyone feel uncomfortable and under constant pressure. They have bullying issues and the school doesn’t even have a counselor to talk to. Again this is a private school and you would spect better treatment for your student but they are only concerned about making you pay for everything. Also the cafeteria is dirty they serve $12 lunch and is always cold and served without any love what I mean is if you’re paying for it you would spect great service. The principal is very unapproachable and hard to talk to and all the staff is scared of saying anything to Mrs. Roy They don’t accept any advice or suggestions and the kids are under constant pressure they are too strict with things they shouldn’t be
