My child went to Highland and had a terrible experience. The principal is the worst educator I have ever met, she is self centered and doesn’t not care about the students. She would regularly single my child out and bully them to the point they did not want to attend school purely because of her. They loved their teacher but every morning had to pass Mrs. Banach who regularly would stop them and hassle them over something small which would start their day on a bad foot. If the school had better administration it could be a wonderful school.

I never liked this school from day one just because of the parking and I feel like my child's being single without because she may need extra help I feel like the school rushes the students no one's going to change my mind on how I feel I just don't like the principal we never seen eye to eye and every time we have a conversation it feels like she's laughing at me

Principal doesn’t take threats seriously. A student threatened another with a gun and the principal didn’t believe it was true. Most teachers are disrespectful to the students. One paraprofessional yanked my son by the neck of his sweater during a drill and when I raised a concern about it I was told well she will stay in the classroom we will just tell her not to do that again. Additionally, there’s no extra help for struggling students. Horrible school 10/10 do NOT recommend.

My son went here for K and now is in first grade. I have seen his confidence grow in all areas, academically and socially. I was impressed by my kid's ability to read, write, and draw after Kindergarten. The self-led pace of math learning on chrome books was helpful for him, as he's naturally drawn to math and computer games. He's on the shyer-side, but was excited to make many friendships. He also spoke highly of the music, art, and technology classes. I love that he got to collaborate with 5th grade buddies throughout the year. The teachers have been wonderful and communicate frequently via Parent Square. The PTG is very active and organizes fun events throughout the year. The YMCA AM/PM care is onsite and very helpful for our work schedule.
