2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the worst run school in DPS. I was encouraged to send my kids to this school through the positive things I had heard of this school through a Facebook mom group. But having my kids here has been the worst decision. It is clear that the school is so poorly managed. There is high turnover at this school with often times classrooms not having a full time teacher throughout the entire year. Classes relying fully on various substitute teachers coming in and out. On top of all of this. The Principal did not announce that the school would have an additional 5 teachers leaving for next year until AFTER choice round 1 closed. Jenks is the worst principal and clearly does not care about staff, students or families. We have applied for choice round 2 and now because of their incompetency and disregard for families, my kids will be at 2 different schools for the following year. AVOID COLUMBINE AT ALL COSTS.Parent Review1mo ago9 Reviews - Garden Place Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAmazing school with great community engagement and support. Teachers have long tenure and it shows….. very experienced and wonderful at their jobs. Specials are well thought out and routinely enjoyed. School supports all learners where they are. The overall feel is that they truly care about the kids, which is the point.Parent Review6mo ago28 Reviews - Stedman Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a former employee of this school, I cannot give a positive review. There are many challenges with the students and not enough support. The main issues are behavioral. It is challenging to teach when you are constantly interrupted by sometimes violent outbursts from students. While the principal is kind, they do not give a full description of the students and the challenges that will be faced each day.Teacher Review1mo ago21 Reviews - Swansea Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI definitely recommend the ECE program at this school. Our three year old daughter attended this school 2023-2024 school year. We were sent there through the Child Find program for continued support for speech delays. Our daughter had separation anxiety as well. Ms. Claudia Valle the main ECE teacher is just absolutely amazing. She has like 30 years of experience and she just knew how to calm our daughter from day one. She helped her tremendously with expressing her needs using words and we feel forever grateful for the kind of support our daughter received at this school. We have been to a private school before that and our daughter was really not seen there. We had our doubts when assigned to this school but wow, how one teacher can change the course of a child’s life and positively influence the developing psyche of a young learner with challenges.Parent Review8mo ago13 Reviews - University Prep - Steele St.
