Twentynine Palms Base

The school disregarded my request to only interact with legal parents. They forced me to a situation. I was unable to fully engage and make an educational decision despite I am the legal guardian of my child, and I could not fully participate in the meeting about my child’s educational needs. They put my career at risk despite my attempts to communicate this boundary and need. I wanted to participate and focus on my child needs for his educational future and instead I had to worry about if I was going to get in trouble and lose my career and be reprimanded for being put into an awkward situation despite calling and asking for an accommodation ahead of time. I am a parent that does not live in the same state as my child and I cannot find ways to interact easily and be included, despite trying to work with the school. I do everything I can, and the school does not support me as the parent and legal guardian of my child. Why would I recommend a school that fails to focus on the legal parents of a child participation in a serious educational decision. If they had been more supportive, I may have considered this a decent school, but I have no idea. I can’t even get access to my child’s grades.
