"I have lived in the neighborhood for 20 years and seen many changes. Older homes are being torn down and replaced by two on A Lot. I don’t think there’s one house in the neighborhood that sells for less than $800,000. The area is very walkable to grocery stores, retail outlets, a lovely park, and public transportation. The neighborhood is very dog, friendly, but other than that very few neighbors know each other there are no community events "

"near the 405 so generally not too bad, but the traffic on the main streets and the 405 after about 3:00 can get way too congested. "

"My neighborhood has great public transportation and is only a 20 minute commute to LAX International Airport, 30 minutes to downtown LA. About four miles to Hermosa Beach. "

"Torrance is a great city to call home. The city is overall maintained very well, with responsive local government, active neighborhood councils and excellent swift responding police and fire departments. The schools here are highly rated. I’m so happy to be able to be close to the city and beaches and live in a great suburban town. "

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has attended Playhouse since he was 2 and a half. He is now in the Kindergarten class there. The program has always been stimulating, age-appropriate and nurturing. The student and teachers diversity tab here incorrectly describes the ethnicity of the school. This is a highly diverse school with representation from all ethnicities. The differing cultures of the children are celebrated and studied in a positive manner. The art projects are fantastic here in every grade. Also, many extracurricular activites are offered at the school for parent convenience. The reading program is outstanding. My son just turned 5 in October and he already knows how to read beginning readers. I am thoroughly impressed with the value that this school offers.Parent Review12y ago2 Reviews - St. Catherine Laboure Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe’ve had a great experience at St. Catherine Laboure. My daughter graduated well-prepared and is doing very well in public high school, and my son is currently enrolled and thriving. The teachers are strong, the academics are solid, and the school does an excellent job instilling values, discipline, and responsibility. We’re very happy with the foundation it’s given our kids.Parent Review3w ago26 Reviews - Ascension Lutheran School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageParticipating in school activities & volunteering more in classroom make me find out that all leaders here are true to their words & all teachers are full of amazing energy & sincerity. I saw in the long hours of working or teaching, they simply showed no trace of feeling tired but doing all tasks as planned in high efficiency, giving instructions to students clearly and briefly, assuring them doing the right things firmly & instantly. Only intense interest in their jobs will make them so vigorous. They take pride & excel in teaching! Strict and encouraging teachers produce outstanding students and so are they! On the other hand, great teachers are generated by their great teachers. I believe one of the reasons that they have been doing fantastic jobs shall be that they have been taught by the greatest & wisest teacher in the world --- Jesus. I am impressed & touched by the fact that all staffs here always act in conformity with the guidance in the Bible --- Philanthropy & Fraternity. Sending kids here will truly make you have extra happiness & sleep even better! I am so glad my kindergartner is learning & having tons of fun here. Parents, trust me and give it a try :)Parent Review12y ago13 Reviews
