"Transitioning neighborhood, with some older, long time residents (I’ve been here 23 years) but lately some younger families have moved into the circle. Quiet neighborhood, everybody recognizes their neighbors, waves, and while we may not interact with each other frequently it’s a friendly area. Great for walking, or jogging, the circle (4 times around = 1 mile) and since everyone takes great care of their homes & yards, it is a scenic walk. Great schools nearby, my children attended Assumption, Roosevelt, Bancroft & San Leandro High. Convenient & quick location to all the schools, highway whether heading east or west, downtown for shopping, banking, 3 post offices; Marina Square, 880 north & south with 2 options (Marina & Davis) & BART are less than 10 minutes away. Pleasanton is 15 minutes, and d ask is downtown Oakland; San Francisco, depending on where in the city you want/need to go, can be a quick 20-30 minute drive. What more can I say? This is a fabulous area to live, one of the best kept secrets in the Bay Area. Oh, and by the way, the weather is enviable too!"

"I’ve lived here for 20 years. It’s a very quiet neighborhood. Although recently, there has been a string of car break ins and our vehicle was actually stolen. "

"Great place to live I’m really working on starting some kind of block party or something just kidding but they’ll be awesome"

"It’s very quiet up here. Depending on where you live there may or may not be many kids but they are all friendly with each other. "

"It’s a ok neighborhood. People don’t really talk to each other. It’s quiet for the most part. Lots of random cars drive around all day and night and petty theft. "

"The hill area of Oakland, next to 580 is usually pretty quiet. And mostly older folks living here, so there really aren’t any crazy events."
  • Kwooldri
"This area has excellent schools. Shops, restaurants and produce markets are within walking distance. The neighborhoods are clean and people are friendly. "
