"It’s a lot of noise here because we live next to a freeway. Dog owners would like all the walking you can do here, and the local park nearby that is within walking distance. "

"The parents need to know about the crime rates and how the school system works in Rancho Bernardo. The Rancho Bernardo community has a wide variety of great houses and neighborhoods with clear views of the mountains."

"I went to grade school and high school in the area. With all the great clubs here I hate to go anywhere else. My commute to work is fast on commuter lane. I am in my late sixties and srill love it."

"Lots of places to walk your dog. There’s a dog park near by and lots of hiking trails. Most people do a good job of picking up after their pets. "

"Good schools and parents are involved. Middle school and high school offer a lot of programs for kids. Lacks diversity, but is getting better."

"There are two kinds of drivers in Rancho Bernardo area. Old & slow, young & reckless. Have to keep our eyes, ears and sometimes even our nose open :D"

"Public transportation is horrible. I wish it were better given the fact that we have so many teenagers who can't drive yet. They need things to do too. Unfortunately there isn't much for them around here to keep them off drugs, vandalism, stealing, and other poor choices. Hopefully since it's so expensive here our community will add more things to do for our children when they're not in school or extra curricular activities. "

"I think the walkability is great. I can walk to the stores, shops, and restaurants with ease. It does seem that the crime is making it's way to our area lately. Lots of break ins in cars and homes. "

"I’m visiting my family here and this is a very nice neighborhood! I’ve seen a couple of coyotes in the morning, but they ran when they saw me. I can see Lake Poway down the hill, which is beautiful. I15 is very close & convenient."

"It’s an older neighborhood with not a ton of parks or kid activities but is part of a great school district. 4S Ranch a few miles away is a younger family area. "

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience with this school is horrible, I came here when I was younger and its far more worse than it used to be. I always hear in my neighborhood kids complaining about the vice principal and how she is not even allowing kids to play basketball unless they did some sort of basketball boot camp. They also complain about how the vice principal makes it feel like shes putting on gender over another.Parent Review3y ago7 Reviews - Turtleback Elementary School
