Canyon Crest is a hilly Riverside neighborhood about 10 miles from downtown.

It was once full of citrus groves, but these days there’s just one left, belonging to nearby UC Riverside.

Most of the homes here have been built since 1990 and enjoy wide views of the surrounding area.

Many of the neighbors are students or faculty at the nearby university.

Most locals commute by car, but there’s also an RTA bus that connects to the university.

In springtime, the surrounding hills are green and dotted with wildflowers.

Canyon Crest has several parks, including Sycamore Canyon Park, with lots of open space for hikes, picnics, and sports.

The only neighborhood shopping is in the Canyon Crest Towne Center, but there’s also a large mall five miles away.
