9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my children attended Gomes—my older child is now at Hopkin, and my younger is currently a 5th grader. Gomes has truly been their second home for six years. They know the teachers, staff, and even Mr. Norm, who volunteers at the crosswalk every morning. The strong sense of community, care, and support is unmatched. From academics to games, activities, and an outstanding PTA, Gomes has given our children a joyful childhood filled with great memories, friendships, and a solid foundation. If you are choosing a school, I highly recommend Gomes—where your child’s story begins and prepares them for the next chapter.Parent Review4mo ago14 Reviews - Tom Maloney Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe had one good year and one horrible year with this school. We learnt a lot in our horrible year. The school does not acknowledge and does not take any actions on bullying incidents, social emotional/sensory needs, supports for kids with disabilities, yard duty does not monitor lunches and incidents occurring during recess, the administration engages in intimidation tactics and child brainwashing. The teachers have no idea what the child is doing in class and on multiple requests they said they don’t have time to observe everyone. The teacher student ratio reported is not true. It’s 28:1. Parent engagement is minimal and more oriented more towards donation. They even ask kids to go home and ask parents for money. I had to tell my kid on a couple occasions that we already donated a lot when he was opening his piggie bank to give his money to donate to the school.Parent Review1y ago27 Reviews - Niles Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids were in this school last year. The teachers were fine but it was the parents who caused so many problems. Many of the parents kept asking the teachers to add more homework. Hellooooo....??? It's 1st grade!!!! And also felt like some parents looked down on the teachers. They worked at some fancy schmancy place which I guess made them look down on the teaching profession as a whole. And it was hard to make friends with these parents. They asked questions like it was some interview - where I worked, what did I or my husband do for work, etc... Chill people! There are a lot of good things about this school but seems like this small group of parents love to try to bully everyone around.Parent Review5mo ago19 Reviews - Vallejo Mill Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved to Fremont from North Carolina for my husband's job. My kids have been transferred to various schools in Fremont due to overcrowding. This school year, my kids were placed at Vallejo Mill and we couldn't be happier. Our experience at the other schools was not good. It wasnt the teachers fault but the other parents. They wanted the teachers to give more homework and felt like they disrespected the teachers in general. But nothing like that at Vallejo Mill. This is the first school in Fremont that feels like a regular 'American' school. The other parents are normal and fully respect the teachers. My kids have made fast friends and I've made friends with many of the other parents.Really hoping my kids stay here and not get moved around again.Parent Review5mo ago41 Reviews - Kimber Hills Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of our kids attended preschool at POP but did not continue with elementary. It was one of our biggest regrets to date. We returned in 2020 and our eldest has continued on to middle school and our 5th grader will follow suit. After being away from POP for 3 years and enrolled in the various public schools (due to address changes) here are the main reasons, we came back and will stay until middle school.#1: Christ-centered. This school is rooted in kindness, mercy and grace.#2: Education: The curriculum is challenging with advance math and offers a wide range of elective classes such as Spanish, art and music. Lower teacher-to- student ratios.#3: CommunityThe overall community here is an extended family unit. The staff/teachers are committed and dedicated to every student. The goal is for your child to succeed not to just get by. The parent community is very strong and shows up for their child and the school. The administration is always thinking of ways to improve for the better of the school/students not for profit or other motives.Parent Review1y ago25 Reviews - BASIS Independent Fremont
