"There are some small parks and lots of space on streets to walk your dogs if you’re so inclined. Most people are very dog friendly in the neighborhood. "

"Halloween is insane and so fun. End of school year huge party, Memorial Day 4th of July etc. all holidays are block parties. I would say the majority of homeowners are in their late 30’s to early 40’s with small children. There are kids everywhere. "

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe social and emotional well-being of the students take a back seat at this school. They claim to understand the importance of mental health and its connection to academic growth but I have not seen it with the new administration. Staff is supported while the children and their feelings are not considered. I’m glad my child is graduating this year or I would consider moving her to another school.Parent Review2mo ago - El Camino Creek Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe recently moved into this school zone and started our kids at ECC and find it to be OUTSTANDING! It is a California Kindness Distinguished school and really lives up to the name. The leadership is top notch, and so are the teachers. They have promoted a love of learning and an atmosphere where my kids look forward to school. There is a celebration of diversity and inclusion, and a very very active PTA. We have loved meeting other parents and attending all the school sponsored activities. People are friendly and nice and welcoming to others. Truly, we couldn’t be more delighted by the experience our kids have had at ECC. My only critique is that I do wish they had a music and art teacher on staff, instead of parent volunteers… but I know they are currently hiring for one, so when that’s accomplished- ECC will be perfect!Parent Review1mo ago - La Costa Heights Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLike others, we were excited to move into this neighborhood and LCH was a big draw. Unfortunately, our experience is not one I would recommend and we are currently seeking options to change schools for our family. The Principal is not authentic nor transparent and seems to have ulterior motives at all times. The school has refused our child services despite them having a diagnosed disability and learning difference and being behind grade level. They also teach from reading programs that have no scientific evidence that they can actually teach kids to read (they just teach kids to memorize). Don’t take it from me, there’s an entire piece of investigative research on this in Sold A Story. On top of all of our ongoing challenges, they make a big deal at the beginning of the school year on how even a few absences a year can lead to kids missing critical parts of their education and yet we’ve had a sub like 20 days this school year and it’s only February… Something needs to change at this school before I would ever consider sending a kid here.Parent Review1y ago - Grace Academy
