"We feel fortunate to have found this area to live in. The neighborhood is serviced by public transportation and is part of the Kyrene School District, which s highly-regarded. The Ken McDonald Golf Course is right next door, as is the YMCA for exercise facilities. Lots of residents use the nearby Canal Walk as a place to exercise and bike. The streets are lined with ranches and raised ranches from the 1970s, generally well kept, many with desert landscaping. There is not a lot of turnover among residents. There are some families with younger kids, a few with teens and a lot of empty nesters -- people who wouldn't move for any reason. A bonus -- Kiwanis Park, with its swimming and wave pool, tennis facilities, batting cages, soccer fields, picnic areas and lake, is about a mile away. "
