7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is hands down, the best school in PV district. They have an amazing STEAM program, great resources for students like a counselor, psychologist, PT, OT, Speech, reading specialist, and so much more. We were amazed how much they want every child to win. They look to treat each student as an individual and do their best to cater to their needs, rather than putting the student in a box. We came from another PV school and it was nothing like this. We’re so thankful we moved to DSES, even though it’s out of our boundaries and we have to drop off/pick up every day (we help carpool so it works out now). They have amazing teachers, staff, and an incredible principal. Lastly, it seems their PTA is heavily involved in making sure teachers are appreciated and the community is involved with events. The only downside is parking can be frustrating at times, but even when that was brought up, the PTA and Principal showed up to try and figure out new procedures. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have two children who attend Sandpiper and absolutely love this elementary school, it truly is so special! Our children started in pre-K and have been part of this school community for a couple of years. We have enjoyed every aspect of their school experience. They genuinely love their teachers, cherish the friendships they have made with classmates, and look forward to going to school each day!Even though we are not personally bilingual (we are learning Spanish alongside them), our kids are thriving in the dual-language program. Their accent and pronunciation are fantastic, and they are excited about learning not just the language, but also the culture, all while keeping up with the regular curriculum such as math, reading, social studies, and specials (music, Spanish, PE, STEAM, art). We enjoy receiving the weekly newsletters that keep us updated on what the children are learning, appreciate the balanced amount of homework that reinforces new concepts while still allowing time for other activities, and value the small class sizes where teachers are truly invested and provide each child with personalized attention. We also love that the school uses positive behavior intervention and supports to teach students emotional and behavioral strategies. Our children are very motivated by this and love receiving STARS cards! There are excellent clubs and activities that keep the children actively engaged, such as Trekkers, Girls on the Run, Gardening Club, Student Council, and many more. We use the after-school Mascot program, and our children love it, too, because they get extra time and activities with friends. Sometimes, they even tell me I pick them up too early because they enjoy it so much! The sense of community here is truly unparalleled. The PTO is fantastic and organizes many events that give parents the opportunity to connect and build relationships. We have developed genuine friendships with other families, often enjoying time together not just at school events, but also forming lasting bonds outside of school. Our children have made close friends that they are excited to see each day, and as parents, we feel welcomed and supported by everyone. This warm and inclusive atmosphere truly makes the school feel like an extended family, and we are so grateful to be a part of it.I highly recommend this school to any family who wants their children to learn another language and become part of a vibrant, caring community!Parent Review4mo ago20 Reviews - Desert Springs Preparatory Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDesert Springs is a wonderful school. My kids love it and are happy at school. My second grader knows about the Persian Wars, Greek Mythology, the Incas and Mayans. We have had wonderful experiences and will be forever greatful to the teachers, therapists and staff members.Parent Review2y ago49 Reviews - Cherokee Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you’re looking to be part of a school community - this is the place to be. There are so many opportunities for family involvement and it shows in the classroom. The teaching staff is amazing. My children (each very different from the others) have always been excited to go to school and learn new things because the teachers capture the kids’ desire to gain knowledge. The campus is new and dynamic- there is a school bus built into the library and the art class room features a glass garage door to open the space. We love Cherokee!Parent Review8mo ago39 Reviews - Sequoya Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe transitioned our daughter to Community Montessori School from another Montessori program, and it has been the best decision for our family. While many schools use the 'Montessori' label as a marketing term, CMS remains deeply committed to the authentic practice. The difference in our daughter is remarkable: she used to come home irritable and overstimulated, but since joining CMS, she is noticeably calmer and more regulated. The teachers cultivate a truly intentional environment that supports both her academic growth and emotional well-being.Parent Review5mo ago47 Reviews
