7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is hands down, the best school in PV district. They have an amazing STEAM program, great resources for students like a counselor, psychologist, PT, OT, Speech, reading specialist, and so much more. We were amazed how much they want every child to win. They look to treat each student as an individual and do their best to cater to their needs, rather than putting the student in a box. We came from another PV school and it was nothing like this. We’re so thankful we moved to DSES, even though it’s out of our boundaries and we have to drop off/pick up every day (we help carpool so it works out now). They have amazing teachers, staff, and an incredible principal. Lastly, it seems their PTA is heavily involved in making sure teachers are appreciated and the community is involved with events. The only downside is parking can be frustrating at times, but even when that was brought up, the PTA and Principal showed up to try and figure out new procedures. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI do not recommend this school. When my child attended here, he experienced ongoing bullying that the school failed to properly address, and the way administration handled the situation was extremely disappointing. It started when a girl apparently liked my son, but because he did not like her back, a group of girls began repeatedly teasing and bullying him. They would tell other students she was his girlfriend and spread rumors that he liked her. During a school field day, while me and his father were there supporting him, a group of girls even approached us and said, “Do you want to know a secret? That girl over there is our childs girlfriend.” Then they laughed and admitted they were “just pranking” and making fun of him before running away.Over time, the rumors escalated badly. Students began spreading false stories claiming my child wanted to kiss her or do inappropriate things with her, which was completely untrue. My son was young, confused, and had never shown behavior like that. He is a straight-A student in a gifted program with no disciplinary history or prior concerns. Even to this day NEVER an issue! Then one day during pickup, my child was missing from dismissal. I called the office worried, only to be told he had been sitting there for hours. Nobody would explain why. The same thing happened again the next day. My child was confused first day sitting in office with no explanation. 2nd day explained he had been pulled into the office again and questioned over rumors he knew nothing about. He was confused and scared because he had not said or done the things he was being accused of. My husband and I eventually had to refuse to leave the office until the principal finally spoke with us. And finally get our child they refused to release to us! Despite there being no proof, no pattern of behavior, and even other students defending our child, the school chose to believe a group of girls who had already been bullying him. Some of those students were proved to be administration/front office staff children, while principal was close family/friends with them which made the situation feel even more unfair. The school failed to stop the bullying, failed to communicate with parents properly, and handled serious accusations with no evidence or fair process. The entire situation was handled terribly, and I absolutely would not recommend this school based on our experience.Parent Review1mo ago11 Reviews - Cherokee Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you’re looking to be part of a school community - this is the place to be. There are so many opportunities for family involvement and it shows in the classroom. The teaching staff is amazing. My children (each very different from the others) have always been excited to go to school and learn new things because the teachers capture the kids’ desire to gain knowledge. The campus is new and dynamic- there is a school bus built into the library and the art class room features a glass garage door to open the space. We love Cherokee!Parent Review9mo ago39 Reviews - Community Montessori School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe transitioned our daughter to Community Montessori School from another Montessori program, and it has been the best decision for our family. While many schools use the 'Montessori' label as a marketing term, CMS remains deeply committed to the authentic practice. The difference in our daughter is remarkable: she used to come home irritable and overstimulated, but since joining CMS, she is noticeably calmer and more regulated. The teachers cultivate a truly intentional environment that supports both her academic growth and emotional well-being.Parent Review6mo ago47 Reviews - Tesseract School
