Central City is a ten-square-mile section of Phoenix that encompasses several smaller neighborhoods, including downtown.
Many locals commute here to work, and some live here. Close to downtown, housing is mostly high-rise apartment buildings and condos.
Further out, neighborhoods like Garfield, Roosevelt, and Eastlake Park have residential streets lined with single-family homes.

Central City is a major transportation hub and is home to Sky Harbor International Airport.

Unlike in many parts of Phoenix, here locals often get around on foot.
There are also plenty of public transit options. The Valley Metro Rail has eight stops in the area.
There’s not a lot of green space in Central City, but a handful of parks give locals a place to picnic, play sports, and walk their dogs.
