"A sea of uniform houses with very little community spirit. Everyone closes their garage door before they turn off their car."

"Family friendly neighborhood. Great for raising a family and having kids to play with neighbors. Community well maintained and relatively safe. It is far from Scottsdale and Biltmore so commenting to and from is a distance. Not a lot of adult social activities in the area."

"Quiet suburban area where people mainly keep to themselves. Not as elitist as Scottsdale, not as interesting as Phoenix, just nice."

"Not optimal if leaving the neighborhood. Trips to any other part of town are difficult due to excessive traffic."

"The master planned area is well maintained and beautiful, with lakes and a park. Restaurants and shopping are close by too. The area is close enough to the 101 freeway to make access easy, but it is far enough away that there is no traffic noise."

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two boys who attend Arrowhead! They both love going to school, feel safe and supported, and learn at a high level daily. We love the community and care that our boys receive while at school. The staff love our kids, go above and beyond to make them feel valued, and always respond to our needs as parents.Parent Review1y ago27 Reviews - Legend Springs Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids (2nd grade and kindergarten) moved to Sierra Verde in the middle of the school year so I was really nervous about a number of things (kids making new friends, catching up with school work, adjusting to all the other new things, etc.), but I am so relieved and grateful to say that I couldn't be happier with this school, the teachers, the programs and everything else! The teachers were wonderful about helping my boys transition and adjust to this school by promoting an environment of kindness, inclusion and acceptance. The homework and projects are challenging enough that the kids have to put some thought and effort into their work, but manageable where they don't feel overwhelmed by it. I also love how well the teachers communicate with the parents to keep us in the loop for every upcoming event/field trip or assignment. Overall, this is truly a wonderful school and we are loving life as Sierra Verde Vipers!Parent Review2y ago25 Reviews - Sunrise Montessori School - North Campus

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers do not have patience. They are easily frustrated with students- especially ones with learning disabilities. No science or social studies is taught whatsoever. Learning is withheld as a form of ‘motivation’. The school brags about students being ahead once they finish but only students who are naturally intrinsically motivated. Students are shown a lesson and dismissed to complete a worksheet on their own with peer support. Most children would rather socialize than do work (as would adults too!) the children are expected to have the discipline of adults and put down and punished when they don’t. Recess will get taken away constantly and then they’re punished for bad behavior. The students can’t bring treats but staff will eat fast food and treats in front of them. Teachers don’t even stay due to the toxic environment. My children left this school relieved yet profoundly behind.Parent Review2y ago7 Reviews
