As with any education, you get what you put into it. We moved here 12 years ago, with four school age children. Two have graduated, one is attending U of A, the other Hendrix. My Hendrix student has interned at HP and Amazon and is going to work at Google after he graduates. My other two will be going to Hendrix and John's Hopkins. Our children's education should not be solely the school's responsibility, but also the parents.

We moved to Mountain Home from out of state. My 8th grade high functioning autistic son had a very difficult time adjusting and succeeding at this school. The counselor's disregarded his past school IEP's and professional diagnoses and recommendations that we provided. The Mountain Home Junior High counselor retested our son and told us that he did not have the learning disabilities that several higher credentialed pediatric specialists had previously diagnosed. The online and in person curriculum was very confusing to him as well as to my me and my wife. We ended up disenrolling him and home schooling him as we experienced very little willingness to help our son.
