I am a graduate of Plainview High School. Plainview constitutes a great environment for both students and staff. Under strict administration, while still allowing fun annual events, Plainview balances the studies and memories made. Anyone affiliated with Plainview High School knows that academics are top priority to the faculty and this has been the case for decades, as the school receives top scores on standardized tests, annually. Also important, however, is the emphasis on extracurricular activities such as cheerleading, band, and especially athletics. The Bears football team has made appearances in the State playoffs for 21 straight years. Other sports at Plainview include: baseball, basketball, softball, golf, tennis, and volleyball. Plainview has an "image," as many around the county say. Most outsiders see the families of those who attend the school as being "superior" or "cocky." Maybe this is true, maybe it isn't. Politics are everywhere, including this high school.

This school was awful they refused to help my son with his studies and punished him at recess instead. He has been diagnosed with ADHD and they refused to help him when I went to to support his schooling. Instead of helping us out they said this may not be the school for him because what about the attention of the other kids. They had no knowledge of ADHD and we were discriminated. Then they took my daughter to therapy for a year without my permission. Not only that they let a assistant principal from the public school Chris hairston bring my daughter lunch behind my back for a year without my knowledge she was 16. They are also not trained in simple mental health issues. It is a bureaucratic system and my kids were actually behind from public school on their studies from there. Don't be from a different state they don't like outsiders and all the staff no each other and their kids ger special treatment.
