Our twins really enjoyed the first year of Middle School, each grade is divided into different teams, and each team has up to 3 sections. They were in the same team and the support from their teachers were really good including their counsellor.

I’ve had two children in Gulph, my older son loved it. This was also before Covid, and before the previous principal retired. I am not loving the new Gulph, not a lot of family / after school activities, everything is so politically correct now, the bullying policy is somewhat non existent, and my daughter has had a horrible time getting excited for school. It’s a constant struggle, she is very behind in math and reading, and the school will push these students through and it’s only hurting the student. My daughter is one of many that needs extra help with learning and her speech, but I feel there are so many kids in this school that need help bc of a language barrier, that many other students get left behind. We are a working family, with the economy it’s impossible to not work 40 + hours, and my child needs extra help. We try to do what we can at home and get tutors, but I wish the school would focus more on helping these children. I feel the school is focusing on the wrong things, it needs to get back to focusing more on the students and less on the policy, holiday, political nonsense. Keep politics out of school! Treat all kids, no matter the color or religion with the same policies and expectations. It’s a very different world now, sadly. I just want the best for all these kids, and Gulph is not meeting the same standards as the other UM elementary schools.
