"33 in both directions can get congested during rush hour. However, overall it’s an easy drive. There are multiple ways to get in out without getting on the freeway. "
  • Kat Bubsey
"Lots of other friendly dog owners who look out for each-other. If your dog gets lost someone will help you!"
  • Cmichael
"Lived in Canal Winchester for 15 years and love it. Live in Ashbrook Village neighborhood and it’s very quiet and safe. I would NEVER consider North of Rt. 33 though. The farther north you get, the worse it becomes!"
  • Broken_angel825
"Its a new neighbor here so not sure about it, hoping one day they will have something like that, that would be alot nicer for everyone."
  • Rachel J.
"Close parks, great people, public Pool. Great schools, nice people, cleanly neighborhood. People are noisey though. "
  • Ladybugjrm13
"My neighborhood has empty nesters, young couples with babies, school age kids & retirees. It's a great place close to shopping, restaurants, entertainment, etc. Canal Winchester is a great place to live & raise a family. "
  • Ladybugjrm13
"Great small town but close enough to the big city. Lots to do, shops, restaurants, plenty of community pride. "
  • Ajvl113
"Downtown Canal is very small but homey. Small local restaurants and parks along with safe neighborhoods. Everyone is pretty friendly for the most park. Near a couple grocery stores and not far from 33. "
  • Jane
"The commute is slow. Route 33 is over burdened with too many cars. There is construction in both directions which only makes things worse."
  • terryfinklea
"This neighborhood is amazing. SAFE, friendly neighbors. Resident traffic mostly. One entrance and exit. Great for children."
  • terryfinklea
"One entrance into neighborhood. spacious lots, creek, woods. It has it all Really"
  • CanalLane
"Canal Winchester is a wonderful place to live and specifically Ashbrook Village. There are great schools close by and while we have the conveniences of larger areas, it still has a small town feel. We have cute boutiques, antique shops, and family owned restaurants as well as the large big box stores. I've always felt safe here and haven't had a single incident at home or in the community that would make me feel otherwise."
  • zsb330
"This is a great neighborhood. Very close to downtown Canal Winchester with shops, restaurants, bars and more. The neighborhood is very quiet and established. Homes are all well cared for and maintained. Neighbors are incredibly friendly and welcoming. "
  • jmilitello11
"Quiet, great family neighborhood, easy access to Rt 33. 15 min to Lancaster or Columbus"
  • Mike797988
"My husband and I moved here to downsize ten years ago after our children finished high school. Bad mistake! Now that they're both out of college, we're waiting for the housing market to improve so that we can move. The schools are mediocre; there's nothing for adults without children to do; and there's little public transportation for the elderly. Canal Winchester prices are lower than in many other Columbus suburbs, but as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for"! I wouldn't recommend this city to anyone."
