5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children transferred to Horizon Elementary from a private Christian school, and I was very nervous because I did not know if the care and intentionality towards my kiddos would be the same. The staff at Horizon Elementary School and the teachers have been absolutely phenomenal. The staff knows every child’s name as they come into the school. They remember each child. They are very open and welcoming to parents coming into volunteer. They make sure that they communicate and even over communicate to make sure that parents are on the same page with the school. When my children see staff out in the community, they are always so excited to see them and they always embrace them. Their love and care for the kids at that school is so genuine. It’s rare to see dedication and passion like that in public schools these days. I am so glad that I chose Horizon for my kiddos. I made the right choice.Parent Review8mo ago11 Reviews - Washington Woods Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the worst school ever they threatened my daughter with death threats, and hit my daughter and stole her belongings worth more than $300 of stuff and they didn’t do anything about it. They didn’t even suspend the girl who hit my daughter. This is the worst school do not let your child go there. My daughter is an all A student and a very nice and polite child very innocent and I guess they don’t like a child like that they prefer someone with low grades and low standards.Parent Review1y ago5 Reviews - Holt Junior High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a student that goes to Holt Junior High and had been in the Holt district for 5 years, the administration and punishment for misbehaving kids and bullying in this school is such a joke. I have gone through many situations of bullying and harassment and when I do report it, no staff do any action to make it right. The school is all bark and no bite. The education is okay but they water down so much important stuff to the point of you having to teach yourself. This school all together is a joke, food is pretty much unedible, Administration sucks and student support is even worse. Parents, please dont bring your kid here it’s not worth it. I hate this school.Student Review5mo ago8 Reviews - Holt Senior High School

"My neighborhood is in the heart of the city but feels like the edge of the country. Unfortunately, the area is getting more populated, which is fine for other people."
