I joined PTO and became a part of the school to see what takes place. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePeople complain about this school so much for the wrong reasons.. The teachers are incredible and the majority have a strong passion to teach. I’ve had teachers from every level of class (though I am a Honors/AP kid) and every one I’ve had cares so much about the students and their education. I’m sure there are exceptions both now and many in the past, but as of 2025 the teachers are, as I said, incredible. Safety, I feel, is the main concern. They don’t do enough metal detector checks, and there are many fights. The 2024-2025 year there weren’t too many, but still a concerning amount. Of course this is a common problem everywhere but god… the 2023-2024 school year? We weren’t even allowed in the halls. This school doesn’t do enough to help prevent bullying or fights, they leave it up to inexperienced teachers who do not know how to handle/break up a fight safely without getting sued by parents for ‘touching their kids’. This school also suffers from the district who constantly decides to give their money to South instead of North causing the building and to neither look the best it can nor excel in this like sports. We JUST got updated French textbooks we should have had years ago… Special education programs are good and they really do try their best to care for each and every one of the students here no matter how much the kids complain. There’s so much diversity here (and the school is HUGE with a LARGE POPULATION). I really do think it’s a good school, it’s just not given the chance to show off it’s full potential due to various factors. Next year I’ll be in 11th grade and I can tell you that on that first day, I’ll be excited to be back. Thank you for reading. :]Student Review11mo ago15 Reviews - Lehman Intermediate School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the worse school I ever encountered. The teachers could care less, the principal doesn’t respond for days if at all , and that’s why there’s so much drama and unresolved problems.Nothing makes me happier than to know that my child only has 3 more months here.I wouldn’t recommend this school to Satan himself to send his children to.Parent Review1y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near Van Why Rd.

"Dog owners would love the amount of parks near by, green areas and hikes, but not too many well trained dogs would be the down size "

Great place to raise kids. The schools are great too. Not too far from NYC. And we also have the Bushkill Falls that beautiful to hike in the summer. I could go on and on. "
