3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children have had great experiences at HPJH. They have an administrative staff they can depend on 100%. The school's tolerance to fights and nonsense is decreasing greatly. Consequences are followed through for bad behavior and awesome rewards are given for great behavior. The teachers truly care for the students academic well being. Parents need to follow rules when using the parking lot, but other than that... This school really cares for our children.Parent Review7y ago2 Reviews - Hazel Park High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFor over a decade, 100% of schools in Hazel Park have been rated below average according to state data. Why is there no intervention from the state or change in central office and building leadership? Our students deserve better. The district is failing generations of students.Parent Review4y ago18 Reviews - Hoover Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHello, Current parent i would not recommend Hazel park district at all every day there are new policies being put into place without it being documented they target students from a certain demographic they force kids to play with each other supporting emotional distress on kids what they say goes because its their district and they can do as please constantly having to advocate for my child to be treated as a human being nothing gets done admin over steps their boundaries getting in kids faces yelling at them in order to get anything done you have to contact super which even then that does nothing.. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS DISTRICT THEY HAVE THEIR GOOGLE REVIEWS OFF FOR A REASON I WILL BE PULLING MY CHILD FROM THIS DISTRICT BEFORE IT ESCALATES!!!!! THEY DONT SUPPORT YOUR CHILDS NEEDS JUST WHAT THEY THINK YOU WANT TO HEAR AND THEY ARE A FAMILY IN CHARGE OF HIGH ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS RESEARCH HAZEL PARK!!!Parent Review5mo ago8 Reviews - Check out schools near Vac E George.

"I have lived in this neighborhood for almost 2 years now, I do love it here just I wish people were a bit more quiet and more lenient with everyone around them. Not everyone wants to smell you smoking pot and also not everyone wants to hear your loud music coming from your house. Just wish it was a quiet friendly neighborhood not a college rude family neighborhood "

"Hazel park is developing quickly as a trendy city. Work has started on John R. South of 10 mile to slim the road down to fewer lanes and increase walk-ability. We moved here from royal oak and really love the area. We’re excited to see home values increasing and new businesses come to town. "

"A huge amount of neighbors have dogs including myself. Everyone is respectful when out walking them and clean up after their pups. Almost all yards are fenced in and a lot of the neighbors will come up and say hello when walking! "

"Too close to major highway and high traffic roads. Although many people will take a dog in if it’s wandering and will promptly post on local forums to find owner if collar does not have contact info. "
