New principal is on campus, funding is on the way.

Despite the negative reviews and rumor-mill, we have been very happy at Mebane! The teachers are eager to get to know their students and create a positive and encouraging community! The clubs and electives that are offered are exciting and keep the students engaged in learning about topics that interest them!

My son graduated from SFHS in 2023. He was in the Biotechnology program and mostly took AP and Honor courses, so his experience and my impressions are based within that framework. My son was challenged and had some excellent teachers. The Biotech lab is outstanding. Students were friendly and we felt he was safe there. My son played soccer and tennis there and the team experience was great. It is disappointing that ACPS don't provide busing for athletes.

My son goes to pre-k here and he loves going to school. He really likes his teachers. His teachers are amazing!! He has a current disability regarding having issues with going to the bathroom and his teachers have been such Saints about it and try to be so helpful. They did not discriminate against him which I was expecting them to when we started school but they have been amazing. Everyone is so happy and friendly here. They take security seriously no one is getting in or out! And I love that they have an officer stationed daily. There's talk of closing down the school and consolidating it into one big school with McBain and I think that would be a huge mistake! I had to find my son a public school after we moved and heard such good things and I'm so glad I ended up bringing him here. I do wish there was a little more communication with regarding learning but I'm not sure how public school is supposed to proceed with that due to my oldest has gone to a private school and they work differently. But this is an awesome School.
