6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a student I can say that this school is great. Some of the reviews on here are irrelevant and mostly wrong. And with some pure stupidity without knowledge of the school most wouldn't want to go here. Most of the teachers are great and give full attention to all of us. My only problem is the "honors" system they have is quite pathetic and classes are packed ( 30 kids per honors class. ) As with most schools the lunch is nothing to brag about I honestly pack my lunch but I have eaten it and it isn't that bad. This school is one I would highly recommend.Student Review10y ago4 Reviews - Pakanasink Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall, it has been a horrible experience. The teachers to date have been great and I don't blame them. The principal and assistant need to be reevaluated. They should stand by their school districts motto on anti bullying and also stop trying to pass the buck and take responsibility. THEY are responsible for our kids safety and well being when in their care.Parent Review8y ago7 Reviews - Pine Bush Senior High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated from Pine Bush High School in the spring of this year, and now I'm a freshman in college. Pine Bush has the potential to be a much better school than it is. I feel as though STEM classes at PB don't prepare students to be competitive at the college level. There's so much administrative and bureaucratic red tape holding both students and teachers back. Oftentimes it seems the administration is out of touch with the students. Great principal, though, he really seems to care about the students at PBHS. There being said, there are some great teachers at Pine Bush, to the point where you'd be hard-pressed to find better teachers elsewhere. Naturally, there are some mediocre teachers. Extra-curricular activities took a hit with budget cuts, it might be a while before we get back a lot of the clubs we used to have, although it's looking optimistic. Speaking of budget cuts, one of the biggest mistakes the administration made was getting rid of the IB program a few years back without replacing it with sufficient AP classes. There are a total of only 5 AP classes available to students, and college classes that are available are getting harder and harder to transfer.Student Review12y ago9 Reviews - Check out schools near Stony Ford Rd.

"They're isn't many sidewalks to walk your dogs or other dogs animals outside. How many yards is that and how many yards are you walking to "

"This school district offers students a well-balanced education, which challenges students to meet their academic needs. My son graduated from this school district and succeeded in the medical field. I know many other success stories as well. You need a car to live comfortably although public transportation is available. There are many employment opportunities in the area. Its safe and many historic sites. Close to West Point Military Academy for those who like who like football. The Adirondack trail and Harriman State park is about 20-minutes out. Heritage trail is 5- minutes out, and there are many resorts within a reasonable distance. Vacationers often travel from New York City to visit the Fresh water beach (four of them in Harriman State park), and you can BBQ, Kayak, Hike, Fish or just camp overnight and then take a short walk to the beach in the morning. Commute to work in NYC. Visit the resorts in NY, CT, and PA a short drive away. "
