3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you’ll be new to the district, keep moving. They don’t really accept outsiders well. They don’t make people feel welcomed and 95% of the staff are standoffish. They’d rather ignore you than say good morning. The auxiliary staff are amazing but the teachers are TERRIBLE. 1 out of 10, would not recommend.Teacher Review11mo ago5 Reviews - Connally Junior High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers that teach the core classes are dedicated to their students and profession. The SPED teachers are wonderful to work with. For managing adolescents, the administration is doing well. They do show concern and care for all their students. When you take in the bigger picture, community governance and management, TEA state management and Federal government management then you can connect the dots as to why they have low academic ratings. Parental involvement is minimal due to the socioeconomic area and parents work schedules. Once there is adequate beneficial changes at the higher levels of government, this school certainly has a chance to excell. The US education system needs a critical over hall.Other Review5y ago4 Reviews - Connally Primary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn the end of the school year party in 2024, they had water slide. My daughter's leg got hurt when she told the teacher the teacher told her to sit aside so she's not blocking others. They never told me my daughter got hurt and till this day she still scared to get on water slides.Told them my daughter needs speech help and around the middle of the school year they started he evaluation but it was not completed even the school ended. I tried to speak to the principal for many times, every time they told me I will receive a call from the principal but I never did receive the call.Parent Review7mo ago6 Reviews - Connally Elementary School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall the elementary is a good school as far as Texas public schools go. The education system is broken. Taking this into consideration when looking into the F rating they receive doesn't just reflect on the school, it also reflects on TEA, the Federal government, and the local community. With the overhall of education system, and trained great teachers at the school, they could easily be a 5 star.Other Review5y ago8 Reviews - Check out schools near Spring Lake Rd #A.

"I dunno I haven’t attended any community events in my neighborhood. But Colcord has an excellent Halloween party every year; about 5 blocks are shut off to traffic, everyone decorates, there’s music, and it’s pretty neat."

"The nighborhoods are very confusing safety wise, you can mansions on one block and be in a dangerous part the next block over. I can’t say much about the schools but from what I have heard from teachers Woodway ISD treats staff well so I think there’s probably more retention there "

"There are a lot of strays running around. And there are people who don’t pick up after their animals. So, I’ve gotten yelled at by 3 different people about my dogs going on the edge of their lawn by the sidewalk. There’s a lot of people who don’t care for their animals and just let them out of their houses, not fenced, off leash, to roam around the streets. It’s really weird. People are weird "

"5-20 minute drive to several gas stations, restaurants and retail stores. Local banks close by along with clinics and dentist office. China Spring Schools are within 5-10 minute drive depending on which one attending. Waco Fire Station is 1 mile away."

"I live in the neighborhood, it's close to downtown, Baylor and I 35. Shopping and dining options are within walking distance. The neighborhood is very nice and friendly, mostly quiet at night. The only obstacles are the construction 🚧 sites in the area otherwise the area is very good and a great place to work, live, or to visit. "

"Good access to public transportation, usually a quiet neighborhood, feel safe walking, driving, etc. I don't commute but it can get busy on all the major streets at normal rush hour times. Other times it's very easy to get where you want to go; most everything is 10-15 minutes away. "

"People walk there dogs all the time but you have to tolerate the loud cars, speeding cars and extremely loud car sound systems. People set off fireworks when they are sold. People leave their dog’s tied up all day and night, regardless of weather. If you love animals, don’t move to Texas."
