6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo, this school is an abomination of discrimination, racism, homophobia(I'm not part of the LGBTQ community, but the bullying those guys get is not okay), & peer pressure. There have been multiple fights, one of them ending with a kid with a broken nose, and the other expelled. There are multiple people who only experience joy out of body-shaming and using derogatory, vulgar terms, as well as multiple COMMON terrorism jokes. The racism isn't as bad as you'd think it is, but it's STILL not okay. I'm Black, and it is not uncommon for me to hear, and sometimes reciprocate, racial slurs on a daily basis. There are SO MANY hypocrites at this school. At one moment, they'll be bullying homosexuals, and the next, they'll be throwing up SERIOUSLY inappropriate hand signs. And don't even get me started on the teachers. The school is lucky to have a few actually good teachers, who understand and support students. On the OTHER hand, teachers are ignorant, unsupportive, and nepotistic. The bathrooms are, let's just say, UNSATISFACTORY, and let's keep it at that. The lunch food(other than Thursdays)...is bad. The lunch ladies are, quite frankly, "not very nice". The counselor doesn't care about ANYONE who has special needs, depression, or other struggles. And the only response you'll get from the teachers after a conflict is "Lunch detention". They don't solve the problem, they just make another one. DON'T recommend. I don't ever wanna step foot in this place, or even look in its general direction, ever again.Student Review1w ago24 Reviews - West Chester Henderson High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm a current student at Henderson High School I feel like this school is way to overwhelming and soul-sucking. Because Dr. Sherlock has no rules about class taking, a literal 14 year could take AP Calculus because they felt like it- and had the prerequisites! This amount of competition makes you feel like you're never enough and I have had multiple breakdowns because of this- with no peer or teacher support. I literally feel the light exiting my eyes everytime I step foot into this building! Not to mention the bullying culture here. Everybody claims to be friendly, but are the messiest individuals and never get punishment for it. Do better administration.Student Review8mo ago8 Reviews - Mary C Howse El School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI really don't recommend this school. Her teacher said some terrible things. The communication is bad. The lady who answers the phone at the main office (won't say any names) she words thing in a passive aggressive way. Where's the respect?Parent Review2w ago8 Reviews - Check out schools near Spackman Ln.

"West Chester is a sweet little town. There are lots of great restaurants to enjoy (even if we are still in a mostly take out phase), and some great small shops. The growers market is wonderful to visit on Saturday mornings to support local farmers and enjoy fresh produce and other goodies. We love taking walks around our neighborhood and enjoying the gardens people grow and the large trees providing heavenly shade. We have lived here for 11 years and love it."

"I am older and out of touch with is going in the neighborhood but I see trick or treaters and kids riding their bikes and walking. There are families of all ages in this neighborhood and blended families. There houses are 3 or 4 bedroom with many of the homes having additions. We added a sunroom and screened in porch too our home. The basement is partially finished and also had an exercise room and separate spa. The township has kept up common spaces full of lush greenery and trees. There are many neighborhoods like the one I live in in the area as well a very good downtown filled with many restaurants and quaint stores. We also live in close proximity to Exton where there is excellent shopping and resteraunts too choose from!!"

"There are a lot of parks but not many sidewalks within most neighborhoods themselves. Glen Mills is fairly wooded so there are many places to take your dog on a walk without a ton of people around. "

"It is an easy commute to 202 and into Philadelphia via 95, 3, or 76. Traffic tends to be light. The only issue is when there is something going on in town, they close the roads."
