We just love this district. The academics are rigorous and prepare students for college and we get students into great colleges. I had to write this review because those negative reviews in the past month are there to try to influence a board of education election. These schools are great. We have tons of sports teams and they are very active and kids commit each year to colleges to play sports. We also have a band, orchestra, jazz band, plays and musicals starting in the elementary schools. Graduation rates have improved from the mid 80s to 95 and 100 percent graduation rates. College preparedness has improved dramatically with typically mid to high 80 percentiles achieving 3 or above on AP exams showing the quality of our teaching now. In fact home prices are soaring since our district’s rankings have improved so much. I can’t say enough about these schools. My kids are able to play on any sports team they want and participate in the fine arts and languages. We have Spanish French and Mandarin. Our Mandarin teacher is fabulous. Thank you to our superintendent of schools! I also want to mention the principal of the high school who is focused on academics as well as school spirit. She has transformed this high school since my first one attended. I also want to shout out to our science research program and our new broadcast studio. I can’t get over the quality of the broadcasts from these students. Go Oyster Bay!!

This is an amazing school. Class sizes are small at about 18 kids per class and my kids love it. The PTA is also amazing. The kids always have a ton to do, plus the school always encourages parent participation. This is a great school. I'm happy we moved to Oyster Bay.

Outstanding school! Dr. Valerie Vacchio is a truly dedicated and caring principal. The teachers and staff are dedicated to their students. My child gets excellent grades and loves going to school!

I’m trying to understand how this school received such a high rating. From what I’m seeing locally, the district is actually struggling to have enough students to consistently form sports teams, which raises questions about overall enrollment and student engagement.This makes me wonder, where exactly does GreatSchools get its data for these ratings?As a parent, accuracy and transparency are really important. A rating of 10/10 gives the impression of a thriving, well-rounded school community, and that doesn’t fully match what families are experiencing on the ground.
