8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated from CCHS in 1996 and my son graduated from here a few years ago. While some things had improved, not enough have, IMO. All students are well supplied and have equal opportunity, but not equal attention, by far. As a student who wasn't among the affluent, came from a broken home, and had ADD which was only diagnosed years later, I didn't feel discriminated against but often felt forgotten. I literally had a few incidents where I had stayed after class to ask the teacher a question about the material we'd covered only to be ignored because they were too busy chatting with their star pupil or talking to one of their favorite jocks about extracurricular sports. One of the offending teachers had the nerve to tell my mother at a conference that I wasn't applying myself, to which she reiterated my story to him. His reaction was nothing short of offensive, as he singled me out in front of the class at the final bell each day for a week, passive-aggressively punishing me for calling him out. I was once suspended for tossing a BB back at someone who'd thrown it at me during a pep rally, yet remember many, many occasions when rich kids and jocks were let go with a warning for bullying and assaulting other kids. The favoritism was rampant in the 90s. Basically, if your patents were rich or you were a star player, you were golden. Everyone else was just a butt in a seat and a check from the government. My son graduated from here a few years ago. He's autistic, and while he was given some support for his special needs, it was always at the expense of hours of parental advocation. My oldest daughter has ADHD and had experienced enough of this similar mistreatement at one of the district's elementary schools and at the Jr. High, that we pulled her after 6th grade. She and her little sister attend cyberschool from home because we decided once and for all that our daughters will never experience the nepotism, favoritism, and elitism that is the core of this school. They'll be allowed to return if they choose, but it's been several years and neither had shown any sign of wanting to return. One official from the Jr. High school reached out and said they wanted them back in school and would miss them. I challenged them to name my daughters and they couldn't. I told him to wave goodbye to government check number 1 and government check number 2 before handing him their school-issued items and walking off campus hopefully for the last time.Other Review2y ago12 Reviews - Cedar Crest Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRacism is getting worse. My oldest had to deal with it when he attended the middle and high school and now my middle and youngest child are dealing with it. It seems like things are now getting worst. No matter what your political beliefs are, there is no reason for racism especially in schools. My kids are also concerned about the bullying and homophobic remarks by kids in their class. We are planning on moving away from this area at the end of the school year as we have had enough.Parent Review1y ago10 Reviews - Cornwall El School

"I have lived throughout lebanon city for 12 years. The central part of the city is very loud. Street noice music car exhaust ect. Areas north of Maple Street, East of Lincoln Ave., south of Oak Street and West of 12th street are the more quieter areas of the city. "

"This area is surprisingly low key. Generally speaking, you would think being in the heart of Lebanon would be chaotic in someway, but there is not much riff raff and it is quiet and peaceful. In the 8 years I've lived here, nothing has been stolen and there was no wrong-doing or crime I could report. We plan on upgrading soon but we will definitely stay here in Lebanon!"
