Our son goes here and we just absolutely love it! The teachers and staff put their whole heart into the kids. I also am grateful that the bus stop if right in front of my house.

My son is thriving at St Johns High School where the teachers, staff and principal care about education. He's enjoying several programs at the school and work training. Our family is very happy with St Johns High School.

As a Haut Gap Middle School student, I feel very disappointed to even have step foot in this school. Every day i'm here feels like 7 years in hell. The teachers are overbearing with only a few exceptions. Even if you are lucky enough to be in a class with a good teacher, there's gonna be that one teacher who you hate with every cell in your body. They'll annoy you. They'll yell at you for no reason. They'll even embarrass you in front of everyone with not a single ounce of remorse. And if you taught your child self defense, you might as well kiss that goodbye. I got into a fight last week with someone who instigated it by punching me so I hit him back. Guess who got in trouble along with him! So what did they want me to do. "tell a trusted adult. Tell him KINDLY to stop. JUST IGNORE HIM." They do not care anymore and yes that is true. There is a literal sign above the water fountain that says that! Being at this school has been the worst experience of my life. And if your thinking about taking your kids here, just don't. Trust me.

My child is on the Autism spectrum and is a part of the Mt Zion community. This school has been an amazing experience for our whole family. The teachers, therapists, support staff, administrators, and students have been so supportive and inclusive. My child loves to catch the bus and go to school everyday! The excitement and joy I have witnessed when he talks about school, his teachers and friends is heartwarming. They go on field trips and develop their social/emotional as well as academic abilities. The past 2 years have made a world of difference in all our lives. We have gone from non-verbal to non-stop verbal! If you are a parent with a special needs child, this is a school that won’t disappoint! We have experienced other schools and programs that promise a lot and do not deliver, or even create an environment that dampens his spirit and personality. MZES has been a breath of fresh air. We know when he gets on the bus for the day he is safe, will have a good experience, and come home bouncing off the bus saying “Mt Zion Elementary, Did you have fun?!”
