9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageArundel Middle School is a wonderful school, and one of the best in the entire county. Some of the previous ratings sound hysterical. I also work for the school system and have seen the data on fights and suspensions, and Arundel MS has the third lowest rates of fights and suspensions among all middle schools in AACPS. Crofton, Central, and Severn River Middle Schools all had more fights and suspensions during the previous school year than Arundel Middle School did. The teachers are dedicated, the students are high-achieving and diverse, and the academic performance of this school is top-notch. Only con is the mostly old facility, although there has been a brand new addition to the building recently, with another planned in the coming years.Parent Review8mo ago21 Reviews - Arundel High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe final year at this school with the new principle is the absolute worst. Once Kimberly Winterbottom is out of office maybe I would recommend this school in the future. There is no support from the offices and higher ups to the students, all money donated from families is pocketed and lost in non needed expenses, where we still dont even have soap in the boys bathrooms, the school has faulty water pipes where the water from the sinks in the culinary room is coming out yellow. Restriction on students bathroom uses to only six times a quarter per class, where only one student is let out at a time for a limit of eight minutes, so if you are feeling sick that day make sure to get everything done quickly, or you will be threatened by staff. If you are sick with flu and are told to stay home for the week by your Doctor, Kimberly Winterbottom will email your family, threatening to hold your credits. So make sure to go to school while you have the flu. There is no freedom within the student body, the last three years this school has given students chances to go to their teachers during their lunch hours, and get help when needed, as well as has the ability to transfer classes during that time. That is no longer the case, where once that bell rings, you must stay in that class. If you are a senior with your partial schedule, you cant ask your teacher a quick question, because once you do a and that bell rings, you are not allowed to leave. Say goodbye to your job as you will not be late, but its not your fault. Of course its Kimberly Winterbottom's. Kimberly Winterbottom will make sure to go out of her way to cancel senior meetings, to drop her own little worthless message, repeating what she announced the week prior, leaving highschool seniors with a very short window to buy prom tickets, have the ability to check what they owe in school dues and obligations. The money you put into this school is not worth it, $60 in class dues for all of that just to go down the drain and not fund a better school. Seniors paying $80 in prom tickets, just for our after party to be held back within out own schools cafeteria, while other schools like Crofton High school renting out a whole night at Sky Zone, or North County High school renting a night at Urban Air. This could be a fault at student fundraising, but where were all the meeting to let students know about such fundraising? Oh, Winterbottom canceled every senior meeting weeks in a row. DONT ATTEND ARUNDEL!Student Review1y ago24 Reviews - Odenton Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had a great experience with this school! Safety is a great priority from getting students safely into school to the entry of non-staff is by far top notch. The teachers that have taught my kids have been very supportive, responsive, encouraging and go above and beyond. The kids love all their teachers and are excited to learn. I have two children on an IEP and the Special Education Department went out of their way during Covid-19 to ensure my kids were not losing the needed resources. Our principal knows most of the students, if not all by name. She is always a professional and does not hesitate to do the things that she requires of her staff. Having 4 children in elementary, I have communication with the health room more often than most and they have taken wonderful care of my kids.Parent Review2y ago13 Reviews - Check out schools near Sappington Dr.

"I lived here for over 3 years My neighborhood feels safe because the streets are well-lit at night and there’s a strong sense of community among neighbors who look out for each other. Regular police patrols and a low crime rate add to the feeling of security. Families and children can be seen walking or playing outside, which shows that people feel comfortable and at ease."

"It’s plenty of space and room for dog owners. There are plenty of trails to walk dogs. If you live in a townhome community you won’t have much room for dogs to play outdoors unless you walk them. "

"It’s a good location to have access to activities, shopping, fine dining, train and flights. Influx of military personnel tends to keep a mixture of mature and respectful family’s circulating within the community. Financially sound area with many good opportunities. A little busy for some, just right for many. "

"Very close to schools, many kids and many walkers from school. People are active, jogging and walking their dogs. Everyone typically stays to themselves and respectfully maintains yards and appearance of neighborhood. Great place to raise kids."

"This is a place to start a family, or raise your family- it’s a community mostly everyone is friendly and mindful of one another- we all get along well and there are great schools, churches, and convenience of stores and near public transportation. I’d recommend our immediate area anytime "

"People wonder through neighborhoods and break into cars a lot. Lock your car doors when you park. A lot of solicitors knock on doors and sometimes they are scams. Tell your children not to open the doors for them. "
