8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI do not recommend this school. Most school keeps there students safe but this school acts like it is but the teachers are actually hurting the kids. There is this behavior program in this school called the wise program for people with special needs and they have horrible teachers there teachers that get physical with the student just because the student got up from the seat. They say they will help you to something called they apr room instead they shove you. Example a student gets up from there seat a teacher says why you got up let’s say the student is having a bad mode and does not reply another teacher literally tackles a student down this happened one time before just when you think things can’t get worse is if a student is in the apr and they ask the students parents if they want to call 211 if the student is acting really bad if the parent says no they call 911 without asking and the police ask them questions and the student is in the hospital. Another time a student mentioned to me another student was outside of the school and calling 911 for dramatic reasons this. Concerns me so if your child has behavior problems do not put them in the wise program unless you want them to be in a hospital for five hours after school.Parent Review3y ago3 Reviews - Highland School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child went to Highland and had a terrible experience. The principal is the worst educator I have ever met, she is self centered and doesn’t not care about the students. She would regularly single my child out and bully them to the point they did not want to attend school purely because of her. They loved their teacher but every morning had to pass Mrs. Banach who regularly would stop them and hassle them over something small which would start their day on a bad foot. If the school had better administration it could be a wonderful school.Parent Review9mo ago2 Reviews - James H. Moran Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible school, all the teachers care about is getting money, they don’t actually want to be there, horrible policies, and all the other good reviews that mentioned things like “enrichment” are all gone now. There’s nothing I look forward to do when I have to go, please choose a different school for your child If you see this.Other Review11mo ago10 Reviews - Mark T. Sheehan High School

"Wallingford is a very nice Connecticut suburban town. It has the charm of a great New England community with easy access to major metropolitan areas (about 90 minutes outside of NYC); the town offers great access to two interstates and a commuter rail line. Great public and private schools with a wide array of amenities all make Wallingford an attractive place to live and raise a family. The real estate is well priced with a wide variety of small, medium, and large to estate-sized homes. The mill rate is low relative to most of Connecticut and the town has its own electric company. The East Side of town is more developed with many beautiful estates that overlook the vineyards and countryside offering beautiful, breathtaking views of the terrain and sunrises/sunsets. The crime rate is low and the town boasts many outdoor spaces that are well maintained."

"There are lots of friendly dog owners around. Most yards are small, and a dog would require additional exercise."

"The worst trouble your kids can get into is the trouble they cause themselves. There are no dangers in this town, which the police have worked very hard to achieve. Wallingford is a very safe place for kids to grow up and experience."
