7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school does the bare minimum to protect students who are victims of bullying and racism. They would prefer it if the victim left the school as opposed to the actual problem so they don't have to deal with it. Even when presented with video footage of specific incidences, the problems continued. The entire district as a whole makes me sick to my stomach. As a parent, it is beyond frustrating to have your hands tied while the school all but condones the acts they claim to have a zero tolerance for while your own child suffers. The school is suppose to protect our children, and Flushing has failed on COUNTLESS occasions. Shame on you, Flushing District. These kids need you, and these bullies and racists need more strict punishments/expulsion!Parent Review3y ago4 Reviews - Flushing Middle School

"The city of Flint is slowly making improvements for the community but there is lack of funding to boost the amount and quality of improvements. This area has accessible public transportation and a variety of stores and restaurants."

"Like all cities there are some shady areas that are less desirable. The roads are horrible. Many nice areas & people. I have found that if you are respectful that is what you get in return. "

"I feel the police presence is needed more but other than that it’s an OK neighborhood . The younger generation use the streets as a race track with no concern of the kids that are on the block for that reason I feel the police presence is needed more but other than that the street lights and well lit I don’t feel too much danger because I know the neighbors in this neighborhood"

"Do not live in Flint, Mi. It’s a mess and no good to raise a family here. To much crime as well. Schools have been closed down and the schools that are open are way over crowded. Schools are behind in curriculum. "
