8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school doesn’t take kindly to step parents! The principal and specific teachers have been extremely rude and has caused LOTS of issues after gaining custody of the child. A very judgmental group of “adults”. And a lack of curriculum for children behind or falling behind. I would NOT recommend this school to any family… especially a blended family.Parent Review1y ago8 Reviews - Parkersburg High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience in this school is great because it is a great school for champions in sports and good graduation rates and good teachers and good stuff…. I’m currently a student and I rlly think that this school deserves a good rating….also I love their good traditions and game Friday… wear red on Fridays is soo fun. The quality of this 100 out of 100… the leadership is on fire also homework is 10 out of 10 also the teachers quality is Perfecto and the stuff as well…. safety is key to keep the school including myself and the policy’s is 10 out 10 but some students don’t follow those policy’s at all but I follow them because I’m a good student. Parent involvement is 100/100 is perfecto!!!Student Review3y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near Rector Rd.

"I ve lived here 38 years and never so much as a loud noise problem in the summer time. No loud cars are tolerated and people are good about acknowledging each other "

"It’s to close to the road and people drive too fast down the street and there is a lot of homeless people "

"There are not many community events Some small businesses have events but there really isn’t much to do especially for older children and teens. "

"It is a very small town, but safe for the most part. It doesn’t really have any activities for children or adults to be involved in. There isn’t much knowledge of culture here either. I do like the short commute you have to go anywhere within the city. "

"Live in Vienna! Less drugs and crime! Friendly neighbors in upper Vienna that welcome all! It cost a little more but for good reason and is on edge of Parkersburg!"

"Avoid this area. Employers are leaving as quickly as they can. Homes are extremely overpriced for the median income of 40k yearly. Avoid! "

"Parkersburg is trying to offer more cultural events - farmer's markets, wine festival, local food festivals, etc. It's a nice town and people are generally friendly, but it's a little too politically conservative for my taste. I was born and raised here, and it will always feel like "home," but I don't think I could live here again."
