"It is a very small town, but safe for the most part. It doesn’t really have any activities for children or adults to be involved in. There isn’t much knowledge of culture here either. I do like the short commute you have to go anywhere within the city. "

"Avoid this area. Employers are leaving as quickly as they can. Homes are extremely overpriced for the median income of 40k yearly. Avoid! "

"Parkersburg is trying to offer more cultural events - farmer's markets, wine festival, local food festivals, etc. It's a nice town and people are generally friendly, but it's a little too politically conservative for my taste. I was born and raised here, and it will always feel like "home," but I don't think I could live here again."

"the roads are horrid. You move here be prepared to replace tires. Wood county or Parkersburg, being outside city limits has for the most part ignored our streets doing less than the minimum to maintain."
