Discipline issues are addressed in love to see what can be done to correct the behavior.Control over their campus, like any school I am sure there are issues/problems, however they have order and peace (climate) overallStudents are required to walk neatly/orderly in the hallways I commend, Dress Code Principal Williams and her team are doing excellent serving and preparing the next generation, (pride, excellence, character-conduct) in a positive way Students do not need to be bused across town or down the street by ZIP CODE. Students can receive a Quality Education at Attucks right in Sunnyside, The Fact they are not NES says a lot, CAVEAT: I am not looking down on NES Schools, Attucks has STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineer, Academic and Math acronyms PROGRAMS extracurricular activities, events and rank 85% in Math Perhaps a Feature Article can be done in the African American Newspapers in Houston, and the churches would engage more. Sunnyside/SouthPark is different, however much good is happening. Gentrification a factor, poverty and other social ills, many are still recovering from Crack that crept into communities (generational cycle) 90's. Let's back up Attucks more,Praying (parents) etc. PTA/PTO will support all you are doing. The Community must get involved more and put time, money and resources into the school. Hopefully my review will guide strategically on what needs to happen. Let's be like Crispus Attucks and bring a positive revolution back to the community. Attucks is sentimental because I grew up in South Park/Sunnyside. The neighborhood has changed; my mother's uncles attended the school in the 60's. We still have Yearbooks at the Family Home. Students could not be bused across town back in the old days, instead the community ensured the school thrived. Alumni need to come back up what Crispus Attucks startedOther Review6mo ago3 Reviews - Reynolds Elementary School

"Do owners like when other dogs owner pick up after their dogs. They don’t like that the neighborhood doesn’t have a dog park for their dogs to run around and play."

"So unfortunately with the current status of our situation we do not and more than likely will not have any occurring events that make our neighborhood special although we do have a great church community unifying us as a community and as well as a great park ecosystem ."

"Located near main highways, it is easy to commute anywhere you need to around Houston relatively quickly, especially since going into town from the east side goes against traffic."

"Sometimes there's gunshots. It keeps things exciting. Last night I though the house down the road was involved in a drive by, but as it turns out, their kids had leftover fireworks."

"I've lived at my current address for 15 years. I live around the corner from my mom's house where I grew up. I left for 11years when I joined the military. My mom has lived in this neighborhood for 40+ years. One if the main reasons I moved here besides to be close to mom is that it has never flooded."

"Too many stray dogs in area. Not safe to walk alone, or with small dogs. Walking stick required. Don't walk alone at night. "

"I've lived in the area for almost 2 years. It's not a quiet area at all and heavy traffic daily. The commute to downtown takes about 30 minutes during the week if you leave early enough. "

"It's peaceful and safe. Also my house never gets flooded, only my street. It also is a short commute to my job. Our neighbors are respectful."

"This place is a little known gem in Houston! It takes me 10 minutes to drive to Houston Medical center from this neighborhood, and a little over 13 minutes to drive to the galleria. I can get to NRG park (formally reliant Park) in no time at all, and there are so many ways to the above mentioned places that I can avoid freeways if necessary. The area is very quiet and many of my acquaintances often comment on that when they visit me. My neighborhood HOA is pretty active and keeps an eye on community affairs. All in all, commute is good and area is pretty decent."

"This is a beautiful up-and-coming area where house prices are sure to rise! Great access to downtown Houston and the Medical Center!"
