4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis Elementay school is a hidden gem. The teachers are amazing and make learning fun for their students. Many of the teachers have enrolled their own children in this school. That speaks volumes as to how wonderful this school is. I’m happy to have my children attending La Presa Elementary and wouldn’t have it any other way.Parent Review4y ago2 Reviews - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, And Math Academy At La Presa

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son’s schedule was full of engaging teachers who cared for their students even though at times that could be difficult given the clientele of students that attend the school. But, the teachers did care, and for the most part, it seemed as if they were making the absolute best of the situation’s in front of them. My son really wanted to play football at the school, even though I was against the sport for safety reasons, I allowed him to play because I hoped it would build his character. Boy was I wrong. The football coaching staff is flush with men taking their coaching jobs far too seriously and completely ignoring the fact that the young men on their team need social and emotional building as much as they do athletic building. coach Braswell, his coordinator on the team, was simply strange. At first glance I ignored the foul language and machismo building as just part of the deal. By the time I hoped to see the fruit of my son’s labor, I instead saw a kid afraid of his coaches, Braswell in particular, instead of inspired by them. He needed men in life that would see him as an athlete after a student, not an athlete that could be a stepping stone to a coaching job at another school, which I know a few of the coaches see as their trajectory. MMHS, do better!Parent Review8mo ago9 Reviews - Check out schools near Quarry Rd.

"I drive everywhere. There aren’t many sidewalks, although that has started to change, but there are also a lot of hills which makes walking difficult regardless "

"They would like it because there’s a bunch of people here that have dogs. They walk them around the neighborhood, there’s also a park nearby. They wouldn’t like this neighborhood because there’s a few coyotes here at night. A lot of cars pass by during the night. A lot of cats."

"there are different areas of spring valley. where I am is a lot of commercial, so it is convenient however it lacks the neighborhood feel. I will say though in my experience everyone seems genuinely very friendly in the businesses as well as the neighbors. it is a good community."

"Most of spring valley is quiet and most people carrie on their business and don't bother anyone. Some kids can be a little vulgar and tend to bully others so of you have children I advise walking with them if they walk to and from school. "
