5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy first experience was with the nurse. Her bedside manner was trash. Only to hear from other staff, many people have the same experience. My second experience was with the assist principle of the magnet program. Whom is also the 504 coordinator. In the years I've dealt with my childs 504 plan, my experience with him, genuinely made me feel like he cared less about my daughter medical conditions and her needs. So now I am preparing to have a discussion with my child about removing herself from the program because the nursing program (magnet school) she's in, doesn't care to accommodate her medical (of allllllll the things) situation. I learned today that the 504 is not in place to assist my daughter in avoiding a seizure, they only care if she has a seizure because, THEN it affects them.Parent Review9mo ago6 Reviews - Rudder Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLooking at the test scores for this school tells you a lot. My child required specialized services which the school always fought back on. Any complaint was met with resistance and retaliation. The staff became rude to me and we eventually left the school which is the best choice I could have made. My child was supposedly doing well and making As and Bs at Thornton even though he had trouble on his standardized testing. When he arrived at his new school he was so far behind and his teachers were shocked he had not received specialized services sooner. He is now getting the services he deserves at a school that actually cares about its students.Parent Review1mo ago13 Reviews - Check out schools near Prue Rd.

"We moved here specifically for the community, schools, and the perfect central locations to downtown and the airport. We enjoy the community events, the street parties, and the community organization. There are so many people walking their dogs daily, it’s just a feeling of a true community. "

"I have resided in San Antonio ZIP Code 78210 for two years and I can’t say unequivocally that the neighborhood is improving. I feel very safe in my neighborhood. The neighborhood is lacking grocery stores, restaurants, bars, or any kind of social evening nightlife really. The streets are relatively well kept in the sidewalks are as well. I feel very safe, but it’s nott necessarily a neighborhood where I would go out walking after 9 PM. Neighbors are friendly if you are proactive in speaking with them. It is about the least outgoing, bunch of neighbors I’ve ever had in terms of reaching out."

"We have a 4th of July neighborhood parade. People in the neighborhood bring out their chairs and sit on the lawn to watch their friends/neighbors parade down the street dressed for the occasion in red, white and blue. Dogs are included."
