6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDesert palms is an horrible school but I will never put my child in this school ever AGAIN! My daughter was bullied for half of her time there. She would come home everyday and cry she would lash out on me and her father just because of all the bullying. The school never did anything to help her feel better. A Teacher once ran out of a class just to chase two students then left my child alone in the class with serval students. Sports are okay but my daughter never got to play softball because no one would coach. Another incident that happened was when a student threatened to bring a gun to school and shoot my daughter and her friend my daughter was not involved but just because she was in the friend group she got a threat too. they suspended that student for about 3 days. The assistant principal is rude he always has a bad attitude My daughters social studies teacher was the best and most understandable Shout out to Ms. sovich. Also Mr. gross my other daughters old math teacher was great!Parent Review3mo ago32 Reviews - Ironwood High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would definitely recommend this school - we've had a very good experience. My daughter has completed 2 years at Ironwood, and she is now heading into her junior year. She is bi-racial, with a conservative background, and is an above-average achieving student. She's involved in performing arts. We arrived at this school from a small rural midwestern school system. My goal was to find a school that wasn't going to be so huge that it would overwhelm her. I wanted to find a school that did not have the reputation of lagging behind academically, nor did I want a school that took such a hard line on academics that students wouldn't have the chance to still be a kid and have some free time. I didn't want a school that was considered too rich or too poor. I spent HOURS reading reviews and comparing schools before we moved here. I had an epiphany while I read hundreds of reviews: a school that the students generally felt GOOD about, and had strong school spirit, could cover a multitude of weaknesses. If people feel GOOD about being part of an organization, it smooths over rough edges. This school just clicked for her when we visited - she enthusiastically chose Ironwood. The teachers and administration truly care, and in turn, the students do too. It's an imperfect world, so I don't hold this or any school up to microscope expecting perfection. I do not have first-hand knowledge of curriculum or activities in which my daughter hasn't been involved. But this is a GOOD school. I have not ceased to be impressed with the energy that is displayed here. To each of you at the school, students and adults alike: Keep up the great work. Your energy is contagious.Parent Review1y ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near Pima.

"I like living in my area because e writhing is 15-30 min away that I need. Lots of options to choose from for basic needs. I do wish that light rail would expand to further areas of Maricopa county. I’ve seen the impact it can make on a community by growing up in Oregon. "

"it's not unique. it's quite run down. I drive to other cities to do my shopping more safely. I have packages delivered to family's homes because I don't trust that they won't be stolen. stray dogs are running around. feral cat colonies are out of control."

"My area does not have very good access to a freeway. Both major freeways are miles away. Also, this particular area only has gas stations close as far as shopping, it’s a few miles to a grocery store and about 15 minutes from a larger store, such as Wal Mart or clothing outlets. "
