3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a year long substitute teacher in 2022-2023, taking over 4 computer science classes and one PreCalculus Class. The students in these classes were very respectful. Every student rose and recited the pledge of allegiance aloud. Students worked daily with their chromebooks as well as whatever handouts I distributed. I was a computer design engineer in my previous life, so I occasionally found computer science assignments as well as cybersecurity assignments for the students to do. The student enthusiasm was refreshing. Some seniors in my classes had taken AP BC Calculus as juniors and received a 5, so the potential to perform above and beyond exists. Teacher meetings were thoughtful regarding the interesting things and unenthusiastic about routine things forced upon them. I liked that. Principal Adams seems to strike the proper balance between organic and bureaucratic leadership - also refreshing. I liked it well enough to return for a 3 month stint this coming September. Parents are involved because kids are well-behaved. Some come forward as necessary. The students are encouraged, but not pushed to perform. How did it get so awesome?Teacher Review1y ago4 Reviews - Whiting Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCute little school. Principal and staff are amazing and they will know you by name. There are a lot of outside extracurricular activities that the principal and staff offer throughout the year. I believe most of the children seem to be at level or preform above grade level. Teachers take bullying seriously and needs of the students. Staff works together with parents as a team. My kids are young and didn’t go through older grades yet. So far the Kindergarten and 1st grade teachers are amazing. I heard parents do not like one upper grade teacher because she sits at her desk all day but that is the only complaint I heard.Parent Review2y ago2 Reviews - Manchester Twp Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI just moved to stafford nj and we have a shooting threat in Toms River, and barnaget and yet stafford went into lock down and Manchester did NOT go into lock down. I also got thrown to the ground by a class mate for waiting for our teacher to get there 8th period.Parent Review3y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near PENN Row.

"Easy because I don’t commute. Traffic at rush hour can be a little heavy at intersections. Otherwise, it’s kind of rural here in the Pine Barrens. "

"Lived here for over 40 years and have seen an incredible downturn in the quality of life. Population has boomed with taxes going up dramatically. Higher taxes with no increased services. We still have no garbage pickup, sewers, or even a street light. Schools are getting worse and much more renters, which means no investment in community."

"I moved into this area in October 2017 after searching for a new home for about a year. I was looking for privacy and a quite neighborhood. You get that here with the 1 acre lots, so the homes are not on top of each other like in most other areas like Brick, Beachwood, Toms River, Lacy, etc. it’s also only about a half hour to our shore home in Manahawkin. Overall, nice area."

"Safety first. JUst like 1960, you can count on the neighbors for help when nee3ded. So safe you can leave your doors unlocked. If you want to fall back into yesteryear this is the place."
