4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI do not recommend this school or the school district, it does not have good teachers, they excuse themselves saying that they do not have staff, the academic level is very low and they have preferences for some people, they do not help the parents much less the students, they always have teachers from other countries who do not have adequate preparation. The principal and her staff are disrespectful and never help you with anything because she cares more about her staff than the students. Its staff are retired teachers because no one wants to work at that school due to lack of salary increases.Other Review1y ago5 Reviews - Half Moon Bay High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool is practically falling apart. There's damage and a serious lack of upkeep. Some teachers are great; most aren't. A family member of mine went here and had a terrible experience with a female Spanish teacher. She drove her to tears and proceeded to leave her class unattended all so she could complain and lie to a staff member about what she was doing (with her present!) She'd already been struggling with some health issues, so she did not take this whole situation well. I think the school could do much better on the kind of staff they choose to hire. I do not find it very adult-like to leave a class of 13 year olds unattended. Regarding the students, there does seem to be a worrisome amount of racism and sexism. The mental health services the school offers are decent, so I'd make your child aware of them if they weren't already. Overall would not recommend sending your child here given the staff and sheer quality of campus.Other Review1y ago10 Reviews - Manuel F. Cunha Intermediate School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was very welcoming and allowed kids to be be themselves and practice. Whatever they want to do during class which allowed them to be smarter. It’s a very warm environment and kids are super nice most of them do not believe there’s only around one or two bullies at the school, their academics are very good. The teachers are strict, but not strict enough to where it hurts the kids feelings because of this most of the kids are very happy and communicate with their teacher as well alone them to learn the counselors are also great here they help kids whenever they’re struggling, especially during academics , all the reviews about bullies are completely false in my opinion people will help you if you are getting bullied. If you get called a bad name, they will tell the principal for you. Mr. Clifton is also a very nice principal and see if she knows all 700+ students my name , one of my children goes there and he seems to know him super well one day my child came home crying from school. I asked him was wrong. He said his phone broke after he landed on and we talk to the guidance counselor and they said they’ll By him a brand new phone this there is a very mixed culture that is very nice all these other schools I feel like are not as welcoming to our other cultures like Hispanics or African-Americans people say some teachers are too harsh on the kids, but I believe that this actually helps them because they get ready for high school which a lot of teachers are way more strict I had a very bad experience and secret so I decided to have my kid to get switched over to Cunha. I feel like Seacrest is way less welcome than Cunha’s and Sea crustys , my kid got bullied daily. He got shoved into a locker at one point the teachers and do anything about it. Overall the score of the 10 out of 10 and anyone else think I should switch outParent Review2y ago7 Reviews - Check out schools near Patrick Way.

"Many activities. Pumpkin festival is just one. There are parades and ethnic celebrations for everyone. Block parties in El Granada, Princeton harbor 4th of July and so on. Just a magical place to be."

"The pumpkin festival is of course a world class rural event that brings people far and near to this charming sea side town. Air show and car shows too, amazing. "

"I am currently working from home but Silicon Valley is only about 30 minutes away and the traffic only gets bad on the 92 on the weekends when everyone is trying to get to the beach. "

"Great dog area but lots of leash restrictions, so not a lot of options for off leash play time. I always come up on at least 2 poops that someone didn’t pick up, hiking trails and sidewalks alike. Traffic is increasingly worse every year due to tourism, lack of public transit and housing growth. "

"There is a SamTrans bus which goes straight from downtown to the San Mateo Medical Center, so it’s a super easy commute for health care workers."
