About this House

Significant price improvement. This classic country home has been meticulously maintained the same family whose great uncle built the home in 1922. The home's traditional style exemplifies the era in which it was built, with circular driveways, a portico, formal entry, large formal living room, large dining room and stepdown lanai/family room with views to the patio. The kitchen boasts a large breakfast room, island and abundant cabinets. The adjoining service entry with laundry room, bath and double storage closets provide a nice place for muddy boots to live. The upstairs bedrooms all feature walk-in closets, and one has a cozy window seat and custom bookshelves. The primary bedroom currently has an office that could easily be turned into a mini gym. The 1.41 acre site includes a large barn to store all your toys and ample room for guest parking. Recent updates include a new roof in 2021, second floor HVAC in 2023, exterior stucco repair and painting in 2022-2023 as well as interior touch-up painting. Over the past 100 years, this home has hosted cherished family holidays, community events, large weddings and more. Pictures from previous listing.

"Yuba is a great place to live. All the amenities of a big city without the crime. Neighbors are friendly. "
  • Trulia User
"We live on the locally famous Christmas street. The first half of the neighborhood loves to lavishly decorate for the holiday. Lots of people come to the neighborhood for the season. "
  • Trulia User
"My neighborhood is busy during the holidays, but otherwise is rather peaceful. We do live right by the high school though and that tends to back up when school starts and finishes. Itโ€™s not smart to leave around those times, otherwise the traffic is fine. "
  • Theresa N.
"The schools are horrible here. lots of crime ad far as bikes, scooters, all the way up to vandalism, cars stolen all the time. "
  • Mama D.
"There are no parks in the Walnut Park area. it's misleading! traffic is increasing but still not too bad "
  • Vickie L. B.
"Don't allow your kids out at night because drivers don't do the speed limit. They drive however fast they want "
  • Vickie L. B.
"Dog owners not picking up after their pets. Take them to the park because there are plenty of trash cans to throw away their poop instead of leaving it in my apartments grass area."
  • Vickie L. B.
"It's an ok place but I'll be moving next year. You get what you pay for. Rent going up...really much not being done for it."
  • Syvaniah P.
"A lot of dog owners walk their dogs without a leash. It can be dangerous for drivers, other dogs, and people/children."
  • Vickie L. B.
"I live near the firehouse and police substation. There's Little Caesar's nearby, and a Mexican Restaurant."

"The Halloween displays are amazing and during Christmas there is one street that is completely Christmas town style"
  • Chieko T.
"We lived here for 25+ years. Itโ€™s very safe, quiet and beautiful neighborhood. People walking, take dogs for walk, kids riding bike. But yet, just few streets to get to Main Street of town with variety of retail stores to shop. I wish I could live in a neighborhood like this forever. "
  • Vickie L. B.
"The eight apartment's where I live - we watch out for each other...kind of like our mini neighborhood watch."
  • Chieko T
"I see people walking their dogs all the time. Great manners, no problem in our area. I think it is a welcoming neighbor for dog owners. "

"Have looked at houses in this area. Like the small town feel. Like the rural feel. Want that feeling of neighbor's not being on top of you"
  • Myriah
"I've lived in this neighborhood since I was 2. It was a great place to grow up with lots of other kids and many parks just a few blocks away. Many schools around to choose from as well. Great little community "
