9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kid just graduated from Diablo View Middle School, Clayton. As a parent we are extremely satisfied over the last 3 years with the Middle School. In our opinion this school should be rated 10/10 or at least 9/10 because of these reasons : (1) No discrimination by teachers or other students (2) Very safe in the school and safe neighborhood (3) Teachers are great - lot of teaching experience, they keep the kids engaged with homework and project work. (4) They encourage the kids and helps them to perform better and excel. Like they offer Advanced Maths curriculum. At the end of the day, it also depends on the kid, if they want to put the extra effort to excel.Parent Review1y ago10 Reviews - College Park High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall, we have had a very positive experience at CPHS. My two kids have worked hard, enjoyed many sport experiences and extra curricular. The teachers have been great. All high schools have problems, nothing is perfect. How we choose to react and learn, is the key to success.Parent Review1y ago27 Reviews - Concord High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is horrible. Principal Julene Mckinnon has used racial slurs infront of other black students and defends only white kids. The Pe teachers are horrible too. This school does not care about your kids wellbeing at all. Theres so much more worse stuff about this school I cant even name them all, its a whole list.Other Review1y ago9 Reviews - Mt. Diablo Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love this school, just came there and Im an freshman. Rgeardless people are going to say this is a bad school. IT IS NOT. They are very welcoming and nice. They have JROCT, cooking, Public speaking or Debate team/class and more. MUptiple luages classes like French, Spanish and Mandorian chinnise. Tons of sports Football, basketball, tenniss and volleyball track too! The techers are pretty nice they tey to help out as much as they can just ask them. The food her is AWSOME. For kids who have food issues they let anyone and everyone get as much as they need/want they should know the limits. Bring your kid here its awsome!!!Student Review4y ago6 Reviews - Northgate High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school for 4 years and they were the worst 4 years of my educational experience! The school lacks windows and is built with a bunch of grey cement walls that gives a detention facility vibe. There is a lot of bullying because students are not happy. The education was quite boring with 0 field trips or engagement other than lectures and tests. The school air conditioning is always on, even in the winter and when someone becomes sick, the whole school gets sick because of their poor ventilation system. A lot of favoritism towards students who score high on tests and classes, with minimal support for those who clearly need it. Unhealthy school lunches and food offered to students. I would not recommend this school to anybody who loves their children.Other Review1y ago10 Reviews - Ygnacio Valley High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter attended YVHS all four years of high school, graduated in 2020 and is now attending UC Berkeley. Our son is a junior at YV on the Engineering pathway. Both have had excellent teachers, made friends and experienced cultural diversity. YV is a big family, working together for student success. 10/10 is our rating.Parent Review5y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near Olive Dr.

"Everyone has a dog (or two) and are out walking them in the neighborhood. The neighbors seem to know each other dog’s by name and regularly say “hi” as they walk by."

"I work from home. However, it can take 25 minutes to get to the freeway. If you live in Clayton and work outside your home, expect a long commute. "

"Lots of families and lots of nice dogs. Access to best schools. Peaceful and quiet. Close to downtown Clayton. Great community. Feels secure and safe. Lovely weather. Occassionally experience heavy wind storms in the winter but nothing major. Just suggest if buying a home with original fencing it may need to be updated to hold up another 30 years lol These fences have held up to a lot of wind over the years. "

"Best place to raise a family hands down. My kids went to all three schools. Since CV went Charter, the API scores went through the roof. From small community feeling, to rolling hills and views, this is the place to be."

"Clayton is a wonderful small town( 11,000 pop). Excellent restaurants and deli's, little theater, farmer's market, summer outdoor concerts, community park. Clayton was created for those who love to walk, bike, and horseback ride. Very friendly and clean town. Local high school is charter school."
