7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has multiple problems stating with the teachers, they don’t actually teach, they just hand out multiple assignments. If you’re struggling, they don’t help. I’ve reached out to several teachers, attended tutorials, and asked for extra help, but they never provided any real support. I even went to both my counselor and assistant principal about these issues, wrote two or three statements explaining the problem, and still nobody did anything. Every year it’s the same situation. Most teachers grade based on whether they like you or not. I had two male teachers who were extremely sexist and showed obvious favoritism toward certain students .The lunches here are also disgusting. They have no nutrients, are usually cold, and don’t look cooked at all. Burgers, pizza, and popcorn chicken are not proper meals. The portions are very small, and there is no diversity for students who are vegetarian or vegan. My little sister ate lunch here once and got food poisoning so badly she missed a week and a half of school .Most of the time, staff members care more about checking IDs or policing what students are wearing than fixing the real problems at this school. GoGuardian is another huge issue. Because of the new law in Texas, we can’t use personal devices, and GoGuardian blocks almost everything except Schoology and a few other apps that students rarely use. This generation relies on technology to learn, but GoGuardian has prevented me from studying properly. Even school-related resources are blocked. Teachers can literally close our tabs without us knowing. One of my teachers shut down my work, thinking it wasn’t school related, and all my progress was lost. I had to stay up all night redoing everything. From the years I’ve been here, all I’ve really done is waste my time. I haven’t learned anything meaningful. Most of my time is spent finishing packets that teachers don’t even bother to explain. !! I AM SO HAPPY IM GOING TO GRADUAT NEXT YEAR!!!Student Review4mo ago14 Reviews - Macario Garcia Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son went here and the funding is low like other parents mentioned. The events they have are engaging but the amount of donations they ask for is crazy. The amount of he is also minimum. There’s barely material or any homework’s. There were incidents of kids teasing my kids or just instigating and my kid would get in trouble because he reacted. The communication here just mediocre.Parent Review9mo ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near Old richmond Rd.

"I currently live in village of oak lakes. However, I have been in Sugarland for three years now. I have noticed that Aliana is the new up and coming neighborhood and sidewalks/parks are no longer being taken care of properly. Some roads don’t have sidewalks at all. There aren’t many neighborly functions and most homes do not celebrate in holidays. "

"People love dogs but there are quite a few “neighborhood” dogs that owners let free to walk the neighborhood and get too comfortable with it. I don’t agree with it but just have your dog leashed so they don’t interact with the other ones"

"Dog friendly community, see dogs everywhere in the neighborhood, not from from a nice dog park too. Great place to live, schools are a little bit of problem because parents are crazy competitive, very liberal mindset of “equality for all...unless my child can get ahead”"
