So she tells the students love doesn't exist and happiness is not real.Parent Review7y ago10 Reviews - Gregory-Lincoln Ed Center

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school managed to turn a Christmas celebration into an exercise in exclusion. My child was denied a simple Barbie doll because gifts were reserved only for students with “perfect attendance.” While attendance may matter to administrators, singling out children during a holiday meant to represent generosity and kindness is cruel and unnecessary. This policy unfairly targets underserved families—especially children who miss school due to transportation or other hardships beyond their control. The emotional impact on a child being publicly excluded is something this administration clearly failed to consider.Adding insult to injury, parents were charged $3 for a holiday party, which amounted to one slice of pizza and no gift. I would have preferred to keep my child home and teach her what Christmas is actually about, rather than let a school lesson shame her. This was not motivating, not educational, and certainly not loving. Children will remember how this made them feel—and this school should be ashamed of that.Parent Review5mo ago12 Reviews - Check out schools near Oak Pl.

"Most truly walkable neighborhood in Houston. excellent area for walking the dog with lots of trees, grass and dog parks nearby. if you're worried about car break-ins or people leaving the club at 2 am, look for a different area, but it doesn't bother me."

"Probably not the best for kids. I would suggest finding another area to live if you have kids. Unless you have the money to purchase a house with a large yard here."

"There are plenty of dog parks around here, Bagby Park, Glover Park, W. Webster, Midtown Park, etc. You won't have any problem walking the streets around here either as you see plenty of 🐕 owners everywhere. However, there are plenty of one-way streets and people don't always use caution. "

"The park a three blocks away has 300 year old oak trees, so beautiful. We have get together everyday where we let our dogs socialize and there are always community events at this park, art sells, food booths, party atmosphere on weekends, etc. I love being able to walk to the Toyota Center from my house! And, Discovery Green! We ride bikes to the events and outdoor concerts. Urban living at its finest!"

"The restaurants and the night life make this a fun and upbeat neighborhood. It feels safe to walk in the evenings and everything you need is nearby and convenient. I never feel bored or lacking entertainment and it’s centrally located near all the major freeways! Mostly young 20s and 30s live in this area, but you’ll find a few young families and older couples."
