7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI became legal guardian of my niece and nephew when they were 7 and 9 yrs old. They both attended Murphy Elementary School. The youngest (my nephew) had a lot of problems in school as a result of the severe parental neglect he suffered as a child. The teachers and administrators were very helpful to my nephew and to me. Great school!Parent Review16y ago1 Reviews - Haslett Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagebeen bullied throughout the ENTIRE year and no teachers have noticed and if they do they just get told to knock it off. Teachers don't understand that a lot of my bullying is repetitive. Teachers nor counselors care and that's really sad to admit or bring the reality of this to other students. I've seen other kids getting bullied and they don't get seen at all by teachers. Please, these teachers need to pay more attention to students picking on other students more often. I've talked to the counselor and the most they ask is whats been helping me. My other friend got sexually assaulted by another student and the student just got a small talk about keeping hands to self as if that's going to stop them. Please, fix your system and help kids that are being bullied or more. People are harming themselves and others because of this sometimes and YOU will not do anything about it.Student Review1mo ago10 Reviews - Wilkshire School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been thrilled to have our children progress through the Haslett School System. Easily one of the best options in this region. All 3 have had a number of amazing teachers that I’m sure they will look back fondly on for many, many years.Parent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near Newton Rd.

"We have lived here for decades, raised a family and built long lasting relationships and a career. Wonderful community. Having the university nearby is a fantastic asset. We use it as our park, place to walk, events and activities. Our neighborhood is green, clean and well kept and, compared to other places in the US very affordable."

"I've lived in Pinecrest neighborhood since 2007. It is a great place to raise children with an incredible park and school just down the street. The neighbors are kind and friendly! It's a very safe neighborhood, too! I would highly recommend this neighborhood if you have children and looking to relocate."

"Nothing, my community is very average for East Lansing. Mostly students, some adults that have lived here for a long time. The apartment walls are thin, kids are dumb, and everything is within walking distance."

"I walk to work at MSU. It’s wonderful summer, spring and fall. Winter is often beautiful as well. The sidewalks in most of our area are well cared for. Although, in student rental areas are iffy. There are lots of people walking almost everyday. If I drive, it takes me 5 minutes door to door."
